  • Their is NO Global Warming. MIT Professor has a 20 year stidy he has been doing. His conclusion is the Earth got Half a Degree COLDER. It's just a Democrat Lie to get money & Control our nation and of course RAISE TAXES. Maybe they should call it Global Cooling, at lease that way they would be saying the right thing. Al Gore has made Millions of Dollars off Glogal Warming LIE.

  • Climate change is a fact of nature, not of man, and global warming is caused by solar flares, not man, because the Ice caps on Mars are melting at the same rate as Earth's, Ken Lay and al "the criminal" gore came up with a "special tax" through a global warming scam!

  • @edarotag84 Absolutely correct except for the fact that it was actually Maurice Strong who started the global warming bogusness.

  • Loves how he quotes the dissenting opinion. O.o

  • EPA is owned and operated by monsanto and other multi-nationals. There will be no help for people OR the environment until the we the people 'take out the trash'.

  • More double talk. From another criminal!

  • I guess if they drag their feet long enough and speak in riddles the matter will just go away. We lose again because an agency set up to protect us is harming us.

  • Stephen johnson is a piece of crap. And should be in jail.

  • no kidding! Stephen Johnson has set the environmental movement back like 15-20 years. His unreasonable use of power to limit and manipulate environmental policy for the purposes of the Bush administration is (IMHO) thorough as shit.

I really want to laugh that this guy was chosen to defend our nation's environmental and economic future (because we derive our economic fortune from our environment).

    Thanks, dick-bag.

  • perhaps if mister johnson and his to employees are jailed for contempt of court the will get to work on the issue....

  • It is his job to determine what steps must be taken to complete the task and comply with the court order. He can't very well have staff working on something when what needs to be done hasn't been established yet. You don't complete a complicated project by starting without a comleted plan.

  • A fiction of environmental protection

    watch?v=KVI7rFsGaKg

  • Did Bush just hire the Enron excutives "en mass"? this guy should be fired for incompententcy.

  • Flottsom you showed the rest of us what kind of person you are. Nwrhino, I agree with you that this is Fascist (National Socialist) government. They now mistake talking for action... government itself is necessary and important, but how can we elect individuals that have active minds and who take action?

  • The man said he didn't know. That's all. He did not reject the SCOTUS order. He simply said he didn't know. The Bitch is looking for an argument, plain and simple.

  • This is a perfect example of a national socialist government in action. The congress which constitutionally has the power to remove this man from his appointed position for "dereliction of duty" and "grave incompetence"based upon his failure to even acknowledge addressing a Supreme court mandate. Instead does nothing but let out a collective sigh! The EPA ultimately exists to secure USA real estate for multinational banking interests. This hearing is just protocol for the public record

  • The Bush administration doesn't listen to the Supreme Court -- THEY LISTEN TO THE CORPORATIONS.

    GOD HELP US ALL!

  • Am I to understand this correctly? We are paying our government to protect the environment and to inform its citizens on dangers, and yet the EPA is unwilling to release findings that show whether greenhouse gases contribute to climate change? Sounds like our government is answering to special interests rather than its people. Something is terribly wrong with this system.

  • he said a whole lot without saying anything!

  • Is Stephen Johnson as pathetically unqualified to "carefully consider" any of these environmental issues, as say Christine Todd Whitman was?

Its truly outrageous that folks with no scientific background are being appointed to that position.

  • Every word of this testimony shows contempt for the American people. The Supreme Court ordered the EPA to do it's job and it still refuses. This organization set up to save American lives is refusing to do it's job, it's too busy serving it's corporate paymasters. Don't kid yourself that there aren't consequences to these dreary bureaucratic wranglings. This is where your health is traded for campaign contributions.

  • EPA has 18,000 employees. What a waste.

  • i just quit smoking. now i'm throwing puppies off cliffs... damn you lucky strike!!!

  • wow!

  • She's hot!

  • haha You've been sitting at the computer too long. Push the keyboard away and go outside. Some fresh air will do you good. :)

  • Good grief! Go suck on a tailpipe will ya? Typical Bush administration dingbat.

  • what the hell is this guy talking about? i only hear mindless ramblings every time he opens his robotic mouth

  • Americans seem not to mind that their government routinely violates the law and ignores court orders.

  • They don't mind, because they don't know what any of those laws or court orders are.

  • i mind but it seems like most don't. so what can i do? probably move to australia...

  • the drought is worse there, too bad, you're out of luck

  • @fishhead06 - This is what americans mean when they talk about american values. Lies, deception whatever is acceptable as long as someone makes a buck. Soon they will all kill each other.

  • I love how he thinks he can quote the minority court opinion as a justification.

That's all you need to know he isn't just a toady, but a moron. Scalia lost.

  • Unfortunately, he's no moron. He's simply stonewalling and good old Diane let's him get away with it.

Yes, she calls him on it but she still does nothing.

These creeps (Bushers) have done this stuff since 9/11 and none of these top tier Senators have ever really done anything about it. Lots of noise (Lahey, Boxer, Reid) but no action.

Hell, Schumer recommended Mukasey for AG. WTF?!

    It's a joke!

  • disgusting

  • Really tho, Diane coulda grilled him a little better than that. Spineless Dems.

  • You've got to be joking. What else could she say?

  • Something like "Let the record show that I believe the current management of the EPA resembles Katrina-era FEMA -- sloppy and inept. The thing is you seem to be smart guys, so the mismanagement in this case is most likely deliberate due to pressure from the Executive Branch." If she said something like that she might get re-elected in California.

  • Every stone of the Bush admin that gets turned over reveals an ugly gaggle of worms, maggots and blood-sucking leeches. W's entire presidency from the top to the bottom is a stinking, rotten disgrace.

  • amazing

  • Stephen Johnson

    Please die.

    Thanks.

  • I get to wear a suit and tie and i get money from secret sources, so i pretty much do what i am told, and i do a pretty good song and dance. Abada abada abada, Yada yada yada. abada as i just said myiad yabada yadada blabada blabada. important activities lotsa dem thank you very much.

  • This guy is a chump blocker. He stiffles all progress and hides the truth. EPA, DEA, ATF, CIA, FEMA, FBI. acronymns just mean trouble.

  • Hold on environment for just 8 more months!!!

  • si se puede!

  • Again veracifier great post thanks for keeping us informed.

  • The only thing he is "evaluating" is his bank account balance as hundreds of thousands of dollars are funneled in by big industry and their low-life constituents.

  • He says he's the guy who is analyzing the situation but doesn't know how many people are working on it.

    Isn't lying to Congress illegal?

  • Diane,

Don't you get it.... after 7 years these people view the law as optional... C'mon

King George II decreed so when he fixed the FL election.

  • diane's being theatrically progressive--is she up for reelection or something?

  • Anytime the EPA is referencing Scalia, we're f*cked. And that goes double when, as Feinstein points out, Scalia had the dissenting opinion.

This is why the next election is so vitally important. These brown-nosing Bush cronies have to be removed from office. They don't care about the people or our laws. They think they are above criticism or a need to be responsible. Their highest agenda is to serve the multinational corporations who also govern Bush.

  • What a weasel.

  • total douche bag... dodged the questions completely. Its obvious this issue will not see any progress until we have a democrat in office...
