Read your statistics and you will realize that female cops are actually BETTER at handling confrontations because they are BETTER able to de-escalate a situation! They actual remain more calm, which helps with the de-escalation so things don't turn from bad to worse.

Officers don't pull guns on civilians whenever we feel like it. Just because a garage door is closing doesn't mean you stick a gun in a driver's face to effect an arrest. And, lets keep in mind this was NOT a Felony stop or Felony Warrant. It comes down to training, and confidence with it. This officer clearly has neither. Maricopa County has a reputation for 'Jack-Booted Thugs' in their department.

Officers don't pull guns on civilians whenever we feel like it. Just because a garage door is closing doesn't mean you stick a gun in a driver's face to effect an arrest. And, lets keep in mind this was NOT a Felony stop or Felony Warrant. It comes down to training, and confidence with it. This officer clearly has neither. Maricopa County has a reputation for 'Jack-Booted Thugs' in their department.

She didn't pull her gun to clear the Garage, she pulled her gun while focused on the occupant(and reported baby) in the car. I work in the South Dallas Area, with a much higher violent crime rate than Maricopa county has any day. I too pull my gun almost daily, BUT ONLY WHEN NECESSARY.

Why is she pulling her gun straightaway on a simple traffic stop with a 'baby' reported to be possibly in the car? CPS or not, she was not reported to be dangerous or armed. I am a Peace Officer in Texas, and there are Standards and SOPs to follow, you just don't pull your gun when you feel like it. Officers like this make us all look like impulsive, unprofessional, untrained cowboys.

Its not right that we paid for them to work and they got paid to do both. Rumor is that they made $5,000 and other gifts were given. Notice that they always have guys following them around for back up reasons. If they're so tough then whats up with the instant back up. Ask a real Deputy how far out his back up is and he might tell you it could be 45 minutes or longer depending on where they are in the county.
