  • The original music to this movie was written by Pizetti; the score is still around -- when Cabiria was shown in Turin a decade ago it was played by a full symphony orchestra.

  • Theres a golden snitchsign in the crowd at 23:18 to 23:30 ... lol

XD

  • i knew the hollywood and highland plaza was inspired by this movie right???

  • the music is an obvious attempt to soften the obviously negative portrayls of people of in carthage at the time. just messes up the films pacing and development.

  • Cine Colosal =)

  • Half the movie I just a paragraph

  • Terrible sacrifice of children! The temple is almost as scary as modern abortion clinics.

  • i cant believe they built a lavish temple set so they could blow it up in the first few minutes

  • @assassinofdoom12345 If the truthers are right, well they did it with 911? before you say I'm crazy and believe anything, no I just look at the facts and history and come up with my own conclusions, if it's been done before then it can be done again. people are evil in this world, don't let modern day thinking and technology make you think otherwise.

  • the music is shit

  • @TheMarkBart is Tchaykovski moron guy !

  • @andre93ify Imbecille

  • the invocation to Moloch is without music here, you can listen to the Pizzetti's opera on youtube (in another page!), I did so! (sorry for my English)

  • OMG, what 's this fucking music?

  • 1812 overture (tchaikovsky)

  • To enjoy the movie one has to turn off the cabaret music

  • The original music by ILDEBRANDO PIZZETTI should be mounted. This is a shame, vergona!!!!

  • This music is truly annoying. It takes away of the brillance of this film.

  • now you mention the music i like this movie much more!!! just look at the temple

  • "Ice-cold lemonade" 6:34

  • Ma che cazzo di musica hanno messo? Cos'è, Hanna e Barbera?

    Quando arriva Willy coyote?

  • i agree with franzy1 about the music... sounds like a loony tunes episode

  • I expect Laural & Hardy to appear, very bad music

  • Soundtrack is awful with this. It would fit the football game in the Marx Bros movie "Horsefeathers".

I muted the sound on this, then opened a new tab running YouTube's watch?v=LsZEv7kAllo. It's a live version of Verdi's Requiem. Then I went back to this tab with the music playing in the background. Much better.

  • wow that was good. i didnt realize verdi did anything that interesting.

  • I agree, the soundtrack is awful, sounds like it should be played on children's tv programme or something, a very bad choice

  • per la prima volta su questi schermi

    XD

  • It was a world blockbuster in its time...

  • CA-PO-LA-VO-RO!

    Masterpiece!

  • we sure do madafaca

  • the music.. it's just not right

  • We need the original one, made by Ildebrando Pizzetti!

  • 10x for uploading this.

  • Sorry...Manlio, not Mario!!

  • ok, thx!

  • I would really like to know what soundtrack this is. Obviously it can't be the "original" one, since an orchestra used to perform the soundtrack, isn't it?

  • Sorry I don't have a great library of soundtracks...its the music from THE SPEILER a silent film. I've tried to look

  • ok, thank you

  • I asked because it was obvious that the soundtrack didn't quite match the plot. but it's good to know where the soundtrack really comes from

  • and yet something else: perhaps you meant The Spoilers - from 1914??

  • I don't know exactely, but the music was written by Mario Mazza e Pizzetti intentionally for this movie, maybe you can find something!

  • I would really like to know what soundtrack this is. It can't be the original one, right?

  • Is this film available on DVD and if yes where. I can honestly say that it is an incredible film. OK so I have only seen part one but there are scenes here which would never be made now. OK for good reason, for some reason people don't like see children killed in pits of fire and I can understand why but I would still like to see the entire film.

  • kino released this on dvd. its on the website
