First of all, I respect pastor Hagee. However, even though I agree with Mr. Beck on many things, he is not a man of God, at least not the God of the Bible. He is a member of the LDS church, Mormon. Mormonism is not a Christian faith. It is a cult! They do not believe in the same Jesus, their God is one among a untold number. They believe that if a Mormon man is good enough he too may become a god and have his own planet to populate. Not a true Church.
And if there's any truth to the Bible, you can rest assured that the earth will not be destroyed by water again. He promised this. This time it will be mostly fire and brimstone. Yes, there will be tsunamis in various places, but not an all encompassing flood due to raising waters.

All Mormons will tell you that Jesus is their Lord and Savior and that He died for their sins, a mandatory belief in order to receive the gift of salvation. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir has, in my opinion, the most beautiful version of ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ ever performed.

@Daphdong1 : well there are glaciers that have been here for tens of thousands of years that had disappeared in the last 10 years. Glaciers are getting smaller. Temperature change should not be used to measure global warming. It may seem logical, but me, living in Calgary, would know that temperatures can change rather quickly. We have what are called chinooks, and they can drastically increase the temperature one or two days after a heavy snowfall. Something to consider :)

Why does God always punish the poor God-fearing folk, usually in a third world country, when he causes earthquake or tsunami? It's never a liberal Atheist country like Holland or Sweden where they hold annual gay pride parades. How do you explain that? I'm completely baffled
DariusDaGreat86, first of all, it seems you may be a bit confused concerning the actions of God, what He does and does not do, and what He is responsible for and what He is not responsible for. God does not 'punish' countries by slamming his fist down upon them to cause an earthquake (so to speak) nor does He just think of ways to cause destruction, pain, damage or distress. According to His Word, it is in fact, satan, the devil who 'has come to steal, kill and destroy' not God.
Our Lord gets blamed for many things He had nothing whatsoever to do with. For instance I've heard parents say things such as, "The Lord took our little baby from us," as if to say that God killed a little baby! Did they think He was lonely in Heaven and needed someone's little baby there to help populate Heaven? God does not murder babies or anyone else. It is satan who kills, steals loved ones from their families and destroys marriages, jobs, joy, property and people's lives in general.
Did God receive the little child into Heaven? Of course He did. But if God were the one out there killing people and destroying countries, we wouldn't stand a chance! No, God does not destroy nations, nations destroy nations. Anytime you remove light, darkness is the natural result. It's there all along but only manifests when light is removed from it. And God does not 'send' anyone to hell. People end up there as a result of their own God given free wills and the choices they make.
He sent His Son, Jesus so that those people could avoid hell and be 'saved' from hell. But hell is the natural result of one's own personal free will choice the same as when you remove light, darkness is the natural result. If you stand in the middle of a freeway and are run over and killed, it was your choice to stand there. God did not run over you. You got run over because of your free will choice to remain there after God warned you of the danger.
You didn't listen (or allow God to save you from the dangerous freeway) and the result was that you got run over. Several years ago there was an email circulating concerning the Columbine school massacre. It asked the question, "Where was God during all this?" The answer was, "He wasnt there. Since He was not welcome in our public schools He removed His presence." Anytime you remove God there are natural consequences. Did God shoot those innocent students? Of course not. He wasn't even there!

Science does not tell us that the earth is getting warmer, it's saying that the earth is getting cooler and does go through warming and cooling periods. The scientists admitted they removed some 20 of the 50 years worth of data in order for it to look like it's warming.

The question is, can we afford global warming if the process will nearly destroy Humanity? This is a risk I believe few would want to take.

@youreconfused - I think I stated clearly what I believe. Dispensationalist's love to place literal meaning to the book of Revelation. Clearly it is a book of symbols and typology. That said I will repeat that the "two witnesses" are not actual people but are the Law and the Prophets and the Epistles that pointed to Christ. During the Dark Ages the Bible was kept hidden and essentially "dead." These books came alive again with the advent of the printing press and Protestantism.

One thing that John Hagee was wrong about is the Television sign of the end of days. He said that everyone will see he dead bodies of the Witnesses after just one hour. I looked up that Scripture in my body and it doesn't say anything about everyone seeing them in one hour. All it says is that the whole world will marvel and will let their bodies lay in the streets for three days.

Therefore, sadly enough, we have many very 'unfair' and tragic elements that take place in each of our lives. Everyone is affected. God is Just and Fair. Too late for that. So many people will watch Glenn Beck that it becomes almost impossible for them to see the truths. And He doesn't say anything on famine. The famines aren't here yet. Also the Bird Flu hasn't came yet and it's 2010. There have been more earthquakes, unfortunately that can be proved by the fact that technology is increasing, and therefore the ability to notice that there are earthquakes.

@Romans1014Preach If you talk with Mormons, something I do on a fairly regular basis, you learn that their beliefs are almost identical to the Baptists, Pentecostals, Methodists and others. All Mormons will tell you that Jesus is their Lord and Savior and that He died for their sins, a mandatory belief in order to receive the gift of salvation. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir has, in my opinion, the most beautiful version of ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ ever performed.

@Daphdong1 : well there are glaciers that have been here for tens of thousands of years that had disappeared in the last 10 years. Glaciers are getting smaller. Temperature change should not be used to measure global warming. It may seem logical, but me, living in Calgary, would know that temperatures can change rather quickly. We have what are called chinooks, and they can drastically increase the temperature one or two days after a heavy snowfall. Something to consider :)

So all we have to do is find a few 2,000 year-old disciples.
That would demonstrate that Jesus' prophecy was fulfilled.

Then Yahweh almighty God showed up and validated Jesus to give him glory before the disciples, therefore the kingdom became real to them since that glorious day. Yahweh [God] came with the clouds to glorify Jesus and the kingdom. The disciples saw the coming of their messiah and finally had solid proof.

DariusDaGreat86, first of all, it seems you may be a bit confused concerning the actions of God, what He does and does not do, and what He is responsible for and what He is not responsible for. God does not 'punish' countries by slamming his fist down upon them to cause an earthquake (so to speak) nor does He just think of ways to cause destruction, pain, damage or distress. According to His Word, it is in fact, satan, the devil who 'has come to steal, kill and destroy' not God.

Our Lord gets blamed for many things He had nothing whatsoever to do with. For instance I've heard parents say things such as, "The Lord took our little baby from us," as if to say that God killed a little baby! Did they think He was lonely in Heaven and needed someone's little baby there to help populate Heaven? God does not murder babies or anyone else. It is satan who kills, steals loved ones from their families and destroys marriages, jobs, joy, property and people's lives in general.

Did God receive the little child into Heaven? Of course He did. But if God were the one out there killing people and destroying countries, we wouldn't stand a chance! No, God does not destroy nations, nations destroy nations. Anytime you remove light, darkness is the natural result. It's there all along but only manifests when light is removed from it. And God does not 'send' anyone to hell. People end up there as a result of their own God given free wills and the choices they make.

He sent His Son, Jesus so that those people could avoid hell and be 'saved' from hell. But hell is the natural result of one's own personal free will choice the same as when you remove light, darkness is the natural result. If you stand in the middle of a freeway and are run over and killed, it was your choice to stand there. God did not run over you. You got run over because of your free will choice to remain there after God warned you of the danger.

You didn't listen (or allow God to save you from the dangerous freeway) and the result was that you got run over. Several years ago there was an email circulating concerning the Columbine school massacre. It asked the question, "Where was God during all this?" The answer was, "He wasnt there. Since He was not welcome in our public schools He removed His presence." Anytime you remove God there are natural consequences. Did God shoot those innocent students? Of course not. He wasn't even there!
