Love this and in fact the whole album 'All Years Leaving'. Yea it's not exactly the most original music around but why care when it's this good, besides I think it's always nice to see a band wearing their influences on their sleeves, especially on a debut while they may still finding their feet. They're downfall for me was not embracing and developing their more experimental side for the follow up 'Horse Fabulous' as showcased on 'The Way She Does' and the Lennon-esque 'The Big Parade'.

More Campfire chords and pathetic melodies combined create one dissonant and ugly aura. The Stands are a failure to the vibrant Liverpool music scene. I never thought i'd say this but Nickelback even at their abysmal, can still belt out a song with more conviction than these public schoolboys. I hope Noel Gallagher isn't put off from his fledgling solo career after his shameful confession that this band were the next Beatles. Surely the Lennon poltergiest won't resurface, if so, kill The Stands.

Repetitive and clichéd, as yet another Liverpool band try so hard to emulate the La's, but just look like idiots. Who's the biggest idiot of all though? That would be ex Oasis member Noel Gallagher, who championed this band, promising them a big future. How wrong you were Mr Gallagher.
