Yeah, we think our daughter is pretty fortunate to have the opportunity to learn the 3 languages. We are very proud of her. Actually, I am pretty jealous of her too. :)
WOW...not exaggerating or anything, but Sudona sure does speak Mandarin really well, like, her pronunciation/ tone (:
Plus, Mandarin is quite a tough language for non-native speakers, what with it being a tonal language and everything - zuò de hěn hǎo, Sudona, JIĀ YŌU!!!
Sudona has been attending a Chinese school since she was in Kindergarten so we hope that she speaks Chinese like a native but as neither her mother nor I speak Chinese we have no idea.
@ReadingRoxz I finally got Sudona to take a look at your comment. It made her feel really good.
They haven't really started teaching the romanization of Chinese at her grade level yet so she had a hard time reading the Chinese you wrote but she finally figured it out. If you happen to comment in the future you can just write the Chinese characters - she has no problem reading them.
@LanceBarton You're very welcome! Sorry for the late reply - I haven't been able to use the internet for the past few days as our connection had somehow been cut off ):
You must be so proud of Sudona - she does sound like a native speaker (I'm Chinese). Which grade is she in now? Oh, and can you please tell her to keep up with the good work? I've watched one older video and she has improved really quickly :)
P.S. Sorry about the romanisations - I'll bear that in mind next time I comment (:
@ReadingRoxz Wow, what would I do without internet? I would get a lot of rest. ha ha
I am very proud of both of my daughters. But I think all parents are proud of their children - or at least they should be. She is in 4th grade now. I will tell her to keep up the good work from you. If you would like to message her I will have her read it. She did make a friend that lives in Macao and they communicate in Chinese. I have to use Goggle translate to try to figure out what they are saying. ha ha
Mr, you are an American and your wife is a Korean.
But the video shows that your daughter attends Chinese school.
So she can speak not only English, Korean but also Chinese?
How awesome is that
