At the end of the day, there's no way you can land still tied up behind the plane, you'll have to cutaway. They all exited imediately because of the tail strike, had he damaged or removed the tail it would make it extremely hard to exit. It was also a plane load of skydivers on jump run with the intention to exit anyway. No point staying on board, there is nothing anyone on the plane could have done to help him. If you think you can just grab people in freefall and "do a tandem" you have seen too many movies.

I think they did well to jump ASAP. With the chute attached the plane could easly spin and crash. I believe also the pilots have to wear a parachute for that case.
What did the guy end up doing there? Did he cut one side of the chut off and therefore slide off the tail? If so did he have a backup? If not, how was it handeled?
If I was the camera guy, I would have stayed to film the bizarre accident. He probably just cut his line and relied on the reserve. But if I was him, I would have tried to stay back there and wind ski from behind the plane. That would've been epic.

I am sorry guys but you are wrong... The guy that got in trouble, was saying something but we can't hear him because of the strong winds. So it is very obvious that the guy who said "Se te salio" and I think he says "esperate" after se te salio!
He was still inside the "cabin" and couldn't say "se me salio" because it wasn't his parachute that realeased.
Please pay attention and you'll hear he is inside, not about to jump. I think is the guy with the camera who says it.
