We used to party there all the time but this was like 11 or 12 years ago now...really cool to see people still know about that place. I can see why the State Troopers are up there a lot though. That place was always a kind of trouble magnet. Anyone who goes there most certainly does so at their own risk.
@davidbherzfeld I'm sure the highways are still there but you can't really get a car on them. They blockade any enterance that a could get through. Otherwise you have to sneak in by foot and hope the po pos see you. Its kind of a sketchy place so enter at your own risk.
Cool video... I live in Canada, but my aunt lives in Bristol. I always know that when I hit this cool bridge-over-bridge-over-bridge, we're almost there.

I was there w/a friend recently and state troopers were there i guess and they told us to never come back. i heard people "hang out" here at night sometimes and some crazy stuff happens. not appropriate to write here. but thanks for posting because we both wanted to walk it and see what's there.
It was once and still is called THE STACK, they were built to hook up to I-291, 84 and Route 9... route 9 was finally conmpleted along with another section of 291..look at the satalite pictures of route 84 in hartford and you will notice that there are additional exit ramps that are half built..they were going to hook up with the STACK in West Hartford.
