  • I like this bts vid because up until I saw this, I thought all of the glowing linework was done in post with Photoshop. She kind of looks like a demoness that you would see in Tron!

  • I really like the cover. The only thing Is that the picture is obviously "female" and no Angel in the bible is ever spoken of, referred to or introduced in the female gender. Always male in gender. Sorry, in this day and age of Feminization of everything I get sick of Angels that are Women or little babies. Just a little goofy Peeve of mine. I still do really like the cover though.

  • "It was now evening, I immediately dressed myself in the costume of an Indian, equipped with a small hatchet, which I and my associates denominated the tomahawk, with which, and a club, after having painted my face and hands with coal dust in the shop of a blacksmith, I repaired to Griffin's wharf, where the ships lay that contained the tea. When I first appeared in the street after being thus disguised, I fell in with many who were dressed, equipped and painted as I was"

  • real metal does not wear suits, or sell out to trends.

It follows- the heart- the way as it were incepted, and should not sell out- to the masses today. Sad to see.

  • I suppose I shold back up these comments with some notions listed on my site- and a proper review now up at amazon-com

out with the old, in with the new- gives believer 4 of 5 stars I wanted to rate it 3 and a half but had to round up, the ditch of the old school lyrics and this artwork- are 3 to 3 and a half.

There is a push by the fans for Michael(the archangel) follow up ep- with the support of metal blade behind them... the old school fans want something- that was left off this record

  • The artwork rocks.

    Two problems:

    Fear Factory copyright infrigement

Lack of what was left from the old guard on the new album

I guess everyone has LPs to sell today.

Where is the wise man- the scholar of this age? And why isnt he coming foward?

The art looks good but so many - true to self concepts- forgotten on this record.

Bring out Michael (the archangel) three more the old way- the fans want- new or old material.

  • @tempermine

Thank you for a reasonable reply.

What I forgot to say is that I didn't mean 'sellouts' in the sense that they imagine they will get big and sell tons of albums. Clearly they understand that they're making quite extreme music and the metal world is very cluttered nowadays. But still, theyre on the Roadrunner label, a respected company And also I ask why they chose to release this trailer of the album cover photo shoot, it seems only because it's 'cool' - there's no message.

  • I used to be a "Christian musician" years ago. And it's this sort of thing( "where's the message?") that turned me off from it. I wanted to express deeper things than simple evangelical messages intended to proselytize. I think Believer has other things to try and express, and I truly believe we serve a God who honors that. I respect your point of view, but artists are cut from of different cloth than others.

  • Im not against deeper things. But what says that deeper lyrics can't go hand in hand with more clearly theistic lyrics?

I believe the real explanation for the 'deeper' lyrics is that these guys lost (a lot of) their faith. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm just saying. That they're not a very christian band anymore.

  • Nice spin u got there.

So why did they move from clearly theistic lyrics to neutral ones?

  • For clarification I'll add that the music is fantastic. I don't want ya'll to put minuses on my comment.

  • I think that less "theistic" lyrics have nothing to do with a loss of faith. your right though, the music shreds. But I remember them well back in 1990 when I first heard them, and they were accused of not being very "Christian" then as well (Kurt wore a Sepultura t-shirt, oh my!). I think at the end of the day, you have to be who you are, and this album is an awesome album that takes Believer to a whole new plane IMO.Not knocking your opinion though, just sharing my thoughts.

  • Good comment. And I hope you're right. At least you are about the "you have to be who you are" part. Well said.

  • What's this got to do with Christianity? Nuffin.

    Sellouts.

  • I can't believe this band made a comeback. Dimensions was awesome. Must be some kind of story with this band and being too contraversial or something at the time.

  • very nice

  • She's pretty cute. ^_^ It'd be super awesome if you had that design tattooed on your whole body but it could only be seen under black light or some kind of other lighting scheme so it wouldn't show up but on special occasions...I think it looks pretty sweet.

  • heheheh, my namesake...

the sound becomes really cool from 2:34 on.

  • Yeah, at 2:34 Believer finally shows up. :D

  • Cooooooooooooooooooooool

  • heck yeah i cant wait for the new album!
