WC2 was good for its time, but compared to modern standards, not a stellar game, but musically, it was leaps and bounds more interesting than any wacraft that followed.

Ahh I miss the good old days of PC gaming... when the soundtrack and videos would stream off the CD-ROM. Only the game files would ever be copied to the hard drive.
This is a masterpiece, made in a time when art and game production were the same. Listen to the details of the harpsichord arpeggios and the complexity of harmony progression. Nowadays we just see random music with repetitive tracks to fill the background. Thubms up, I wish I could give my 2 thumbs for this one.

Consider that the experience of a game, as a whole, takes into account all factors of that experience; would you really enjoy a film more with constant, vibrant music? Probably not. I enjoy the older, more vibrant music in games, but as a form of art, gaming is not suffering. It's getting so good at telling short, powerful stories; Portal, Arkham assylum. Starcraft 2 ^^

Such a great music, way better than games nowadays have. I can't even remember if wc3 had any music, guess nowadays they try to keep the music less interesting and more in the background so it won't "interrupt" with the experience, which I think is bullshit, just think of Star Wars.

Strange they used Pirate models on the Human/Orc on the Cover when it doesnt appear on the game it self. Warcraft 2 is an classic!
