  • LOLOL" i wish i had these guys when i was uh... they kinda look like little sperms"

dude you got some giant sperm lol

  • did you release them somewhere?

  • are you going to release them all somewhere?

  • "Kinda look like lil' sperms," I laughed so, so hard.

  • what camera did you use?

  • @mksmbg Thanks for watching! I used a hand-held Sony cam ($99) from Radio Shack. I've since moved on to a more professional shoulder-mount Panasonic, but the little hand-held (which I've since given to my son) did a fun job!

  • Gotta Catchem All!!!!

  • im not being rude but they look like sperm lol anyways i got 2 tadpoles one with all its legs whos name is linda i dont know what they r maybe a motorbike frog

  • how can you catch tadpoles or raise them, i want to know both question?

  • @Fearkkzz Go to google or any search engine and type in "how to catch and raise tadpoles and raise them" and you will get some very good suggestions. Good luck to you - and thanks for watching!

  • 2:40 you mean "they kinda look like BIG sperms" ;)

  • I'm going to steal your house.

  • omg can i have them all?????!!!!!

  • @starrystar33isawesom And these cute little wigglers grow up to be awesome toads!

  • @westend104 lol i like toads kind of more than frogs! now though lol

  • i love the waggling tails lmfao XD so cute

  • @BunnyXxSparda VERY cute!!!

  • @westend104 Talkig to the Tadpoles is we? Lol

  • @AnimalGirl328 We can't resist - those cute lil wigglers!!!!

  • @westend104 Lol, I found some and raised them, I also talked to them. Hehe

  • i have a bunches of them.

  • there are cope's gray tree frogs and you also have western chorus frogs.

  • @coopersgirl85 Thank you! No matter what they are, we love them bunches. Their songs are beautiful on a summer's night.

  • Dang thats a ot of tad poles!!!!!! my grandpaw said he had a lot too and he gave me about 20!

  • @animals621 Yep, they're crawling all over the place this year, too! Thanks for watching.

  • "they look like little sperms." we said the same thing !!!!!

  • @nikkiandkevinshow We thought it was like watching a film in health class, too. lol

  • @westend104 lol, it looks like something you'd see there!

  • they look like sperm.

  • Great vid! I love tadpoles!

  • @bobster869snakeboy Thanks for watching!!! We love the little wigglers, too.

  • maybe red eye tree frog

  • so coool.... do the tadpoles show up every yr?

  • @ilovepittybulls Yes! Mysteriously so, but they do. The swimming pool cover always fills up with water, and when we open the pool, we're careful to dump the water + tadpoles and little baby amphibians into the creek behind the house. Thanks for watching!

  • god, so lucky. if that were me, id just keep them there. how are they now? i mean, did they turn into froglets yet?

  • Yep, they're all grown up and making chirping sounds at night. They're wonderful!!!!!

  • They are pacific tree frog tadpoles. I have had them before, and they look just like those. Treefrogs love to lay their eggs in the water accumulated on the pool cover!

  • what species are they!??

  • Good question, and people viewing are all over the map about what they are (Pacific tree frogs, bullfrogs, toads, etc.). All I know is, they're pretty cool and at night, the adult whatever-they-are amphibians make great sounds!

  • The snakes were hanging around the pool this weekend, probably taking a dip into the pool cover "pond" to slurp up some almost-grown tadpoles!

  • just found the same tadpoles in the reservation in mass. sco oped some out to see what kind they are. they look just like these. what did these turn out to be?

  • Thanks for watching! Some people watching this video said they're all toads, but others said they were a mixture of frogs and toads. I've seen all kinds of amphibians around our yard, including some tiny gray tree frogs and large green frogs and small toads, so I'm not sure if they all started their lives in our swimming pool cover or not.

  • Hey, thanks so much for watching and commenting! It's fun to see these little guys each spring.

  • woah cool! so those things are just chillin on your pool cover?? woah. your lucky. i had to really look for my tadpoles! but thats sooo cool!

  • Thanks for watching! We love it how the toads and other critters use the water trapped in the pool cover. It's like one gonzo science experiment!

  • wow!!!!! I have some tadpoles that are just like those! by the looks of them they will actually turn into woodhouse's toads!!! if you google it you will see alot of info on them.

  • i love tadpoles and i wish i can have some of them :D

  • This year the little guys are really BIG. I think they're ready to jump out and become big toads.

  • Thank you for sharing. So neat! =)

  • Thanks for watching, Brandi! The tadpoles are back again this year, but they came later than usual. We were beginning to think we were in the middle of a tadpole drought....

  • Not a tadpole drought! That would be terrible! hehe. I hope to one day see these little wonders in person. I need to find a local lake or something. =)

  • Good idea to find a local watering hole or slow-moving creek. Have fun (today the weather is perfect for getting outside; spring has sprung here at last!).

  • I'm 100% sure the tadpoles in your pool cover are Pacific Tree Frogs, I have some of my own there really cool.

  • Tadpole's are so cute!!!!!!

  • for sure its not bullfrog cause bullfrogs don't wonder around peoples back yard its either tree frogs or toad

  • lol at 2:45 they kinna look like little sperms

  • They sure do! I was thinking that the whole time I was taking the video. Strange, but this year there are ZERO tadpoles swimming around in our pool cover and no frogs around at all. It's creepy, but I think something environmentally bad happened and they're gone this year, which is a real shame. First the nice honeybees disappeared, and now the frogs and toads. I think the bees are making a comeback, and I hope the frogs and toads do too!

  • sperm is the liquid, spematozoide is thing that swims in it ;)

  • hey! no! You take the fun out of sperm weare!!!

  • They look exactly like the bullfrog tadpoles I see in the quarry pond I work at. They might be bullfrogs or maybe all tadpoles look the same.

  • Be careful with them, theyre prolly not bullfrogs. Prolly some rarer tree frogs and forest toads.

  • Excellent! We love the little guys, whatever they are. And you're right; there are a ton of tree frogs around our place. Their music at night is amazing. We like to go outside and listen to them all talking to each other. Thanks for watching! Best, Jay

  • Dude that's awesome, that's a whole lotta tadpoles.

  • Hey, thanks for watching! We love these guys and can't wait to see the new batch hatching this spring. Have a great day....

  • Woah... that's a lot of tadpoles. What do you do with them all when you have to pull back the cover?

  • Thanks for watching and commenting! We love the tadpoles and try to carefully scoop them up and take them further back in the yard and pour them into a creek that runs through the woods there. They can then grow up to be big frogs and toads. It's getting to be that time of year again (this was shot last spring, about April time). Best, Jay

  • I've got a recommendation. When I do that with my pool, the smartest way to get them out is by using a strainer, unless you pick up the whole top and dump it. :) But... yeah, a strainer or a really tightly-knit net.

  • Rinsaku, that's an awesome recommendation. We can probably use our pool skimmer net and do the job quickly! Many thanks.

  • No problem! Anything to help out!

    :)

  • So do you keep Tadpoles in your pool?

  • The tadpoles swim around in the pool cover until we get around to opening the pool (once the frogs and toads are mature enough to hop out and head down the hill and into the creek behind where we live. (BTW, I love watching your channel! I used to work for a woman who was COO of Children's TV Workshop.)

  • I like your idea about keeping one as a pet. They have now grown up to be rather large. Our swimming pool is now opened up and great for swimming, and all the frogs and toads have headed down the hill to the creek where they are having a wonderful time! Thanks for watching Shak!!

  • Yeah I know what tipe of frog are they gonna be, they are gonna be a american toad or a wood frog for shur believe, by the way you should conserve one of them to have as a pet when they grow up!!!! thanks a lot se ya.

  • yowsa! creepy and cool at the same time! grea vid

  • Thanks, jenny! I spotted both the bird and the tadpoles that same afternoon and thought "Nature!!! Science Experiments!!!" When these tadpoles grow up there are literally a hundred or more frogs living in the swimming pool cover. When the pool opens up, a few frogs hang on in the pool and they bleach out to almost white in color from the chlorine and pool chemicals. Gross!
