  • Awww man..... I thought u were teaching me :(

  • some people like shiny though not me but some people do to get a marble look

  • I thought it was just icing or a super greasy buttercream! i suggest you not to put watter once its done, it could look better. But, its not bad.. :)

  • Idk if u can use both but whenever I want to make a cake that has fondant on it I like to use buttercream cause it will work better with the fondant and the buttercream sets better

  • Eeew

  • Does it have to be buttercream underneath? Can it just be any frosting?

  • @VoraciousLime no because if the frosting is too watery the fondant can get runny :) buttercreme will harden a little bit in the fridge. that's perfect.

  • ew its shiny it looks gross thats one thing to stay away from

  • @KassidyGordon Its just water o-o

  • thanks for that

  • yapp

  • After the fondant is made, then add your coloring gel.

  • can i put in color when preparing my fondant?

  • put buttercream 1st then chill for about an hour then put the fondant

  • Nice! What shall I put on the cake before covering with fondant?

  • Buttercream works best

  • I havent made a fondant cake but everyone says to put buttercream icing on before the fondant and put it in the fridge to let it crust, if you dont, the icing could show through if the fondant cracks. Let it crust for a couple minutes.

    Good luck!

    Hope I helped!!!!!!

  • okaaaaay..i dont get it is the pink covering fondant?????

  • yepp its normal fondant with a few drops of food colouring(or for americans coloring.) then needed

  • That pink cake is really shiny! How did you get the fondant to shine like that?

  • Once you apply your fondant brush it with water! =)

  • @HikariHime29 You can also use a bit of Crisco to make the shine really last :)
