To all those struggling on the moves with the Focus Attacks, you need to go for a Level 3 Focus on the start, and queue the dash in towards Dan while you're charging. Without the dash you can land the move after the Focus Attack, but Dan will block the oil slide (on 16), and you can't get enough air under Dan for the OCH on 19.
23 and 24 are hard. Not impossible-hard, but that annoying kind of hard where you're a pixel too far from landing a hit, especially that last low kick in 23.

saying that you're bad at street fighter but this trial is easy is about as unrelated as saying you've been to space and this trial is easy. these are nice to know some linking combinations but the trial mode of street fighter is mostly unrelated to actually being able to play the game well, if you can blast out decent combo trials thats cool could be useful to punish, but the trials of dan and hakan to blow a whole super bar for a 20% hp combo, rubbish.

@Kamelot19 turks and kurds are different. i have turkish relatives in germany. with 2 kids. huge numbers you talk about still exist in eastern parts of turkey, by kurds, which they do the same in ur land. anyway, i dont want to fight with you about us, after hearing plague word, but you have your own rights and perspective and i'll respect that.
If anyone is wondering, hakan is a character of traditional Turkish oil wrestling. That's why he has all these oil moves. Capcom didn't just make him up randomly . Look up on wiki
if ppl are wondering about how to land #19 there's a trick to it here's the inputs / Focus Attack (Strong) - then tap forward to do the next focus but with the second focus make it a quick one so that dan pops in the air just tap MP & MK then tap forward again to be close enough to land the last attack after the focus. I did all the trails myself through trail and error these videos dont help because they dont explain the steps they just show off that they can do them which sucks
Hakans trials are all quite easy to solve. Imo you need way more time to solve the trials of Dan or Sagat because of the combo potential of these chars, especially because of the EX Focus Cancels.
I notice that for trial 19 if you land the first complete focus attack you can hit him with the SA :D when his head falls it touches you and you can get him!!
They should really buff Hakan in AE, Hakan would be played more if Spinning Oil Dive connected from a jump medium punch, similar to Ryu's jump medium punch into the Special or Ultra
@Triforce9426 : no i thought he is bad, but train him, and you wiill see you can play really well with him. of course, it is easier to become very good with ryu, zangief or blanka, but playing hakan very well feels like being the fuckin champ :-D

Ugh, 21 is just impossible for me... as well as 22 and 23. If I DO end up chaining s.MP into s.LP, I'm always pushed too far away to land the final hit. =/

@Drizzydid i know charging delays so u can catch people on wake up, for trial 19 i oil up, charge focus>dash cancel> Focus lv 2 > Dash Cancel > Ultra2 and he should land on u, helps to be in a corner.

19 was the last one I was stuck on, it's so simple aswell! All you gotta do is, full focus, dash foward....Then wait....Then just tap the focus so it doesn't charge at all, dash into ultra. Done.

@stiffler2100 I finally got it. The part I didn't understand was that you have to dash/cancel out of BOTH focus attacks to be positioned correctly. I wish the game would teach advanced techs like dash canceling, linking, tapping, etc. If it weren't for Youtube I'd never have figured out half the stuff in the game.
@TheDecepticonman I like the fact it doesn't teach you EVERYTHING, gotta work stuff out, and you can learn from playing other players online and gradually getting better from it.
@stiffler2100 Except the only people I seem to play against online are either D ranks who are considerably worse than I am or B ranks who walk all over me. It's hard to learn when you can't find anyone of the same skill level to learn from. Not to mention the Arcade mode is such that you never need to learn any advanced techs to beat it. I've learned more from Youtube and the in game replay feature than I have playing the game.
@TheDecepticonman Haha, I'm a B rank, I've played against people with 15k bp's and they were worse than me, points aren't everything. Yeah, youtube does teach you a lot, you should hit practice mode and just keep on doing combos with FADC combos and such to make it smoother online.
@Xajora Cheers, I've been trying that more often and it has been helping as you can sometimes do this move twice in a match. I've also been using up and hard punch to counter people who do jump attacks :)
another great trick is his jumping med. hand, if you predict them you can get a nice 3 hit combo (as shown in video). Its fast and longrange but you have to be able to jump at them for it to work.
As somone who is maining hakan i wouldnt reccomend standing fiercwe punch, it works short term but if it trades damage your better off just blocking.
It has so many uses and is among the most versitle in the game, you can even pop it right next to a wakeup ken to get him off his shoryuken.
The ONLY time you should sub it is for a battlle with guile/balrog. The fact is they never jump so you might as well have a throw ultra. I wish i could share all my tricks with tou but characters remaining wont let me.
Its all about where they are and timing the right counter for it. I just became the 37th best hakan on xbl and its still harrd for me, so just be creative.

and use oil up in every challange ... HAKAN is the only one i got 24/24 on the first day .. also i only need 1 challange for t-hawk.. Hakan is by far the easiest of all challanges.
@4nubiS his attacks will make him go a little forward, giving you more range, the attacks will do some more damage and he's able to move while charging the focus attack.

One way is to push the dan all the way to the edge and then squueze in behind him before starting.

19 was the last one I was stuck on, it's so simple aswell! All you gotta do is, full focus, dash foward....Then wait....Then just tap the focus so it doesn't charge at all, dash into ultra. Done.

@TheDecepticonman It'll wiff if you do the second focus attack too early, you gotta do one full one....Wait then quickly tap it, dash foward then do ultra.

@stiffler2100 I finally got it. The part I didn't understand was that you have to dash/cancel out of BOTH focus attacks to be positioned correctly. I wish the game would teach advanced techs like dash canceling, linking, tapping, etc. If it weren't for Youtube I'd never have figured out half the stuff in the game.

@TheDecepticonman I like the fact it doesn't teach you EVERYTHING, gotta work stuff out, and you can learn from playing other players online and gradually getting better from it.

@stiffler2100 Except the only people I seem to play against online are either D ranks who are considerably worse than I am or B ranks who walk all over me. It's hard to learn when you can't find anyone of the same skill level to learn from. Not to mention the Arcade mode is such that you never need to learn any advanced techs to beat it. I've learned more from Youtube and the in game replay feature than I have playing the game.

@TheDecepticonman Haha, I'm a B rank, I've played against people with 15k bp's and they were worse than me, points aren't everything. Yeah, youtube does teach you a lot, you should hit practice mode and just keep on doing combos with FADC combos and such to make it smoother online.

His second ultra was DESIGNED for that, as for a normal counter he is lacking of one.
Thats why you should always pick combination hold, and let it sit. Make people AFRAID to jump at you.

@Xajora Cheers, I've been trying that more often and it has been helping as you can sometimes do this move twice in a match. I've also been using up and hard punch to counter people who do jump attacks :)
That seems to work sometimes too...

another great trick is his jumping med. hand, if you predict them you can get a nice 3 hit combo (as shown in video). Its fast and longrange but you have to be able to jump at them for it to work.
As somone who is maining hakan i wouldnt reccomend standing fiercwe punch, it works short term but if it trades damage your better off just blocking.

oil combination hold (2nd ultra)
It has so many uses and is among the most versitle in the game, you can even pop it right next to a wakeup ken to get him off his shoryuken.
The ONLY time you should sub it is for a battlle with guile/balrog. The fact is they never jump so you might as well have a throw ultra. I wish i could share all my tricks with tou but characters remaining wont let me.

Yeah I've tried the hard punch and it does tend to trade hits :(
I sometimes just jump upwards and do hard punch, that sometimes works.
Depends on timing I guess... Other times I find it easier to do a focus attack or just dash and work out a different attack.

Its all about where they are and timing the right counter for it. I just became the 37th best hakan on xbl and its still harrd for me, so just be creative.

I personally find hakan disgusting but
1. when you get used to him he is actually good
2. his wife is amazingly attractive
3. has loads of kids by the sexy women and im sure oil was involved.
So overall he is alright with me :)

and use oil up in every challange ... HAKAN is the only one i got 24/24 on the first day .. also i only need 1 challange for t-hawk.. Hakan is by far the easiest of all challanges.

it was the last one i needed too. double tap forward WHILE hes doing the focus attack and then start doing the ultimate
it made it easier for me to map the focus attack to SQUARE and the K-K-K to TRIANGLE

@4nubiS gives him much more range. his oil rocket for example dramaticaly increases range. also it gives him a damage bonus.

@4nubiS his attacks will make him go a little forward, giving you more range, the attacks will do some more damage and he's able to move while charging the focus attack.
