That sounded wondeful! Canyou tell me why that sounded Appallacian fiddle as apposed to Celtic fiddle? it's not a criticism, just wonder how that US sound is made! It's very distinctive, and special? Love it! Just want to know how it is made?

It's called a double stop you hold down two strings and play both stings. It is not easy to right.

Actually, it's in AEAE, though Rayna Gellert plays it in FCFC on her album Ways of the World.
Isn't this generally played in GDGD tuning? Lester McCumbers, Dave Bing, etc. play it that way.

I'm sure you're right. I just usually find myself in cross A. I did get to see Lester McCumbers at Clifftop just a few days ago--he was great!
