  • i think your a idiot sir

  • @LAWLKIPz If you're going to call someone an idiot, please, make sure that you use the correct contracted and adjective word(s) when calling somebody, "I think "you're an" idiot". Learn some fucking English!

  • Default blue background from windows movie maker.

  • Yes it does your smart for catching that! Wow I would never of guessed that!

  • sounds dumb

  • it does sound the same, but i prefer dreams of an absolution by itself

  • He is correct

  • omg

  • my faces '__' 'o' -_- o.O

  • SSBB Green Hill Zone xD

  • So, in the next game, Blaze magically knows how to drive a train?

  • I knew the backgroud song is the game is as the same a Silver's theme, I keep humming Dreams of an Absolution everytime I hear that backgroud song.

  • oh damn.. -brain explodes-

  • Just another point towards 06 being a quickly put together mess...

  • i never knew that

  • 0:45

  • @pegorino1000 Not are vey similar the from sonic 06 its a remix of the sonic 2 ending theme

  • NO

    FUCKING

    SHIT

  • WOW never knew that song until know and i also just found out it was based on Green Hill Zone.

  • lol I always thought so!

  • Theres one moment were they sound similar but there two different things.

  • @AnimalCreation Like the other one has vocals?

  • thats random its actuly kinda the same

  • @pegorino1000 They don't just sound very similar they are actually the same song. The group that composed the music in the first place for sonic 2 wrote a song for sonic 06 with the same tune. I think the name of the group was the solaris projec.....erm I mean Dreams Come True

  • whoa cool maby they got dreams of an absolution music from green hill zone

  • HAS UR MIND NOT EXPLODED YET!!!!

  • It (Dreams of the Absolution) also strongly resembles the Lava Base theme.... I think that's what it's called, one of the five ending levels in Shadow The Hedgehog.

  • why do ppl call silver the hedgehog pothead the porcupine

  • @Hilltoppa3 His head looks like weed, and he acts like he's high.

  • it does sound the same

  • It does sound fairly similiar. At least the beat from the two songs are close in rhythm. Dreams of an Absolution's beat seems to be a little slower than Green hill's.

  • nope, and any other the characters added after the first 4 games (1,2,3,knuckles) are fucking emo bitches. /shoo with your shitty subcharacters from subgames.

  • the beats are indeed very similar

  • ... hmn I actually cant hear it...

I feel out of place now

  • So glad that I'm not the only one who thought that.

  • Somebody should make a Sonic 1 hack with Green Hill Zone's theme remixed with Dreams of an Absolution. :p

  • been knew this but still was great!

  • is it an incredible coincidence or they meant to make dreams of absolution to sound like green hill?

  • Mind=Blown

  • Make the full version because

    I

    SO

    F**KING

    LOVE IT!!!!!!!

  • 0.o i didnt even notice that until now...

  • Not surprising. SEGA actually does this a lot. "Believe in Myself" sounds like Bridge Zone.

  • Sounds similar, but GH has a faster tempo, and the 8-bit doesn't mesh well with the more modern sounding DoA. I think it could be remixed and then fused though. Hey UnanimousDelivers! Think you can pull it off?

  • wow... if u compare the tones too!!!!

  • also endless possibilities and cool edge, both from sonic unleashed

  • I was thinking the same thing!

  • It's does; the other day, my brother was playing Sonic 3 & K, and was thinking that the Sky Sanctuary melody sounded a lot like another song. But, then again, there was rumors that Michael Jackson did help to do the music for these games.

  • Green hill zone NOW WITH LYRICS

  • He needs his own spin-off.

  • same with with sonic the hedgehog 2's ending theme/ sound test theme with sweet dreams also from sonic 06 they sound very similar

  • @pegorino1000 That's because the song is the basis for Sweet Dreams

  • @Zer0systm you just ruined my comment thankyou

  • @pegorino1000 how did he "Ruin" your comment?

  • @IwubMaiColettie uh who are you ?

  • @pegorino1000 I'm a YouTuber

you said that the ending theme from Sonic 2 and Sweet Dreams from Sonic 06 sound similar.

and pegorino1000 saitm that's because the song is the basis for Sweet Dreams

then you said he ruined your comment

  • @pegorino1000 I think that one was intentional.

The person who made Dreams of an Absolution said that the similarity was pure coincidence.

  • @vincent10660 that's what this video is also about

  • @pegorino1000 By that, I mean the Sonic 2 ending and Sonic '06's Sweet Dream sounding similar is intentional. The original Japanese version of Sweet Dream is titled SWEET SWEET SWEET, sharing the same name of the ending theme of Sonic 2

  • @pegorino1000 because it is -_-

  • @supersamsonic dude watcha talkin bout

  • @pegorino1000 because sweet dreams is the sonic 2 ending theme. the first 2 megadrive games music were done by a member of the group that did sweet dreams.

  • @supersamsonic we all know that am just referencing it why do people keep trying to explain that to me

  • @pegorino1000 I'm hoping thats sarcasm...

  • @pegorino1000 cuz it's the same song :)

  • @daijonIIX they are not the same

  • @pegorino1000 Actually, Sweet Sweet IS the theme song for Sonic 2.

  • @pegorino1000 actually they were made to sound the same as a little bonus for completing the game thanx to sega

  • @pegorino1000 Sweet Dreams was made at the same time as Sonic 2, the 2006 version is just a remix.

  • @Shadxlox101Returns am not so sure about the remix part

  • @pegorino1000 It is. If you listen to akon in the background at the beginning he even says "remix, remix, remix"

  • Huh, that's interesting

  • I'm pretty sure his name is Pothead the Porcupine

  • @Snivy932 You sir, (or madam) have won the internets. End of.

  • @THETAILSDOLLISREAL It's Child. But, thank-you

  • @Snivy932 No Problem, Child.

  • @Snivy932 Haha.

  • @Snivy932 HIS TRUE NAME IS SILVER THE HEDGEHOG!

WHISPERING:OF ALL THE NICK NAMES THAT IS THE WORST!

  • k just so everyone knows this wasnt sampled from green hill zone, it was actually sampled from stardust- music sounds better with you

  • @Br0kenWarrior I can hear it too,but not as much as Green Hill.

  • @1kelsysmith at least it isn't mashing with Justin Beiber....... D:

  • Someone should make a Silver in Sonic 1 hack!

  • @jimbodeek there is a hack like that

  • One of the best cameos ever.

  • @Keyblademaster009 To each's own i supose ^^;

  • SEGA!! please make Sliver the hedghog this game!11!!

  • OMG I HAVE GREEN HILL FOR THE DS AND SAID IT SOUND LIKE IT AND IT IS :o IM LIKE DIGGY

  • I can't believe my favorite song sounds just like the one I hate most.! (ノД`)

  • i knew that i knew that song from somewhere

  • Only you can control GREEN HILL ZONE!!!

  • Pothead the Porcupine! What an epic game... (thanks to the awesomeness of BrainScratchComms)

  • Dreams of an Absolution is like techno remix of Green Hill.^^

  • i'ts a little out of timing...

  • I knew there was something fishy about that song!

  • The guy who wrote this said he never intended for this to happen but he appreciated the fans letting him in on it. True fact.

  • Great old music inspires great new music.

  • not really noob

  • @guterbol not really?!? im sorry you must be deaf.

  • it actually does sound alike! now when i play green hill zone, and hear that part, i think of dreams of an absolution... not an issue for me, i like both songs. coincidence or not, they sure do sound alike! :P

  • sounds like a mess when its together! I think its just a coincedence. they dont really sound that alike~

  • @Kacipwnsyouall they do, only the silver theme song is a slower version of green hill zone, so eventually silvers theme can't keep up with the green hill one. they clearly are one and the same since i noticed it by myself, looked it up, and it appeared many other fans noticed it as well.

  • I knew they linked up...

  • Wow one that actually DIDN'T sound like ear rape o.O

  • I'MNOTTHEONLYONE ASLKAHJKLDJASDKJ!;...xD

  • the greenhill zone waas a bit slow but awesome job!

  • Wow...I think I kinda noticed that once...

  • I noticed! awesome, thanks...

  • nice. tweak the key a bit and speed and you could do a great mashup

  • Tch... And nobody believed me...

    THANK YOU!!!

  • some one in sega sue time travel !

  • lol @ when they're put together. you have to change the key and tempo to make that work.

  • I actually thought Dreams of Absolution was a remix of Green hill zone when I 1st heard it in a Sonic Heroes video.

  • @didowexbox

*facepalm* Dreams of an Absolution, along with Silver, were not in Sonic Heroes, nor did they debut until 3 years later.

  • @SalaComMander "Sonic Heroes VIDEO" :P .

  • @didowexbox

Oh, yeah, that war REALLY specific, wasn't it?

  • yay im not the only one who noticed that :D

  • HOLY FUCKING RINGS THEY SOUND ALIKE!!!!

  • OMG WANT :D

  • I salute You! I always knew that Dreams of Absolution IS a remix lyrics version of Green Hill zone when I first listen to it!

And I wish you good luck for everything!

    RESPECT!

  • @Armalizilto Bentley Jones said himself it not a remix it's just coincidence

  • oh my god thats so cool i never knew that!

  • perfect sense silver is future sonic so they used sonic music and turned into silvers theme

  • @Zeekathon No actually this was a coincidence. Bently Jones had no idea they were alike when he made this but the director of the game liked it and complimented him on it.

  • they put that song cause they had future ideas

  • Okay, it's creepy seeing Sonic's name crossed.

Nevertheless, Silver is supposed to be future style Sonic, so it made sense.

But is it for Green Hill Zone Good Future or Bad Future? It's still too upbeat to be the later.

A few others possible inspirations are Stardust Speedway Good Future and a few of the other future themes in the Sonic CD.

Beyond 2000 and Sesame Street though seems to provide some inspirations for the originial Green Hill Zone.

  • Lol. I remember when I was playing Green Hill Zone one day I randomly started sing the chorus of DoaA and freaked a little.

Game deveolpers refrence from their own older/othre works all the time, so this dosnt surprise me.

  • loool finally mayn wanted 2 no that 4 bareee long :)

  • lyk from the 1st 15 secs - 40 secs if youh search green hill zone :)

  • dreams of absolution is like a vocal version of green hill zone then hmmm i discover this in such a instant lolz XD i guess you could say im a big gamer XD

    Shadow-

  • Wow!!! They actually sound the same!!! Holy Crap!!! XD

  • holy shit i had no idea that thoes songs were the same

  • after i listened to silvers theme song i knew that they were the same

  • @fumbduck36 same :))))

  • yay

thats the sliver the hedghog i want

  • i knew that for ages. but its still cool they bring back an old skool remix

  • me too. i notice when i was nine and it was preaty cool because it brings back old memories
