When I started Tech as a freshman Fall of 1972 the first women's dorm has just been built, all the way across campus, still smelled of paint, the number of female students had just exceeded 100. You figure The Ratio. Through the Grace of the Yellow Jacket Gods I managed to win the best of them as my girlfriend. The dorm had a guard downstairs & they had to come down, couldn't go to their rooms. That didn't last long! 35 + years have passed, still friends. God bless America! Go Jackets! ESM 72

Well, if you assume that UGA is full of rednecks, it shows how ignorant you really are. GA Tech and UGA are different schools, but it does not mean that UGA is inferior. Here is an interesting statistic: most Tech graduates end up working for UGA graduates.

And if you claim that GA Tech is a superior school, I am sorry to say that you are mistaken. It is easier to get into the Honors Program at Tech than at UGA. It is easier to become a Presidential Scholar than a Foundation Fellow.

The last time I checked the average tech student had an entering SAT 150 points higher, a better chance of being employed after graduation and a far higher median salary than UGA's. Georgia Tech is a far superior school to UGA, and 30% of GT grads end up working outside the US, another 30% end up working for the government (NASA/Department of Defense/ETC ... ) Most UGA grads stay in Georgia - the only GT grads that stay in Georgia are those that end up with Lockheed (so GT and UGA grads would almost never even end up in the same companies let alone be working for one another). I went GT and own a software company in Manila ... no one here has ever even heard of UGA.
