if the Chase had happened Kyle Petty would have won the title in 1992 if the Chase was on in 1992. Alan Kulwicki would have been at least 4th.

If there had been a chase everyone would have raced differently. Some more conservative, some perhaps more aggressive. We don't know what would have happened had the drivers known beforehand that there would have been a chase.

OH, of course...this is just how it would be if it finished in the system today...believe me it would be boring. If the Chase was in effect in '92 Kyle Petty would just have to start the race and finish to get the title...that stinks.
