I HAVE FIBROMYALGIA AND WHEN I GET IN A TUB OF REALLY WARM WATER IT MAKE'S ME FEEL BETTER. BUT ABOUT A HOUR I START HURTING AGAIN. I DON'T GET BACK IN FOR ANOTHER GO AROUND,BECAUSE I HURT THE FIRST TIME AND DON'T FEEL LIKE GETTING IN THE WATER AGAIN. I DO GOOD TO GET A BATH TWICE A WEEK, BECAUSE I AM SO TIRED,AND HURT SO BAD,AND THE BATH MAKE'S ME EXTREMLY TIRED THAT I HAVE TO LIE DOWN BEFORE DRYING OF.
I too suffer from fibromyalgia and have for so many years. Sometimes the pain is too much to bear and I can’t imagine going on another day feeling this way. But then I found a comforting scripture in the Bible. Revelation 21:4 says “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” This is a promise from Jehovah God. This helps me cope day by day.
I have always had to have the really hot water too, cold just makes me feel sick, whether it is winter or air conditioning. Thanks for mentioning this very important point in the treatment of Fibromyalgia, as many do not recognize it. Some people who have fms say they need to be cold, and it just does not make any sense, seeing how you feel and how I feel, I wonder what is wrong with them! If I get into hot water everyday, in the morning, all year, I feel ever so much better-all day long.
I am a recovered fibromyalgic who left the medical profession to discover the cause and cure for this horrific disease after 15 years of failed treatments. I understand this illness completely from the inside and back out again. Symptoms are often mistaken as a cause and what can help does not cure. Please, do not give up and keep going. See my You Tube video "Curing Chronic Fibromyalgia - Choosing What Works" and my best wishes to you all!!!
This is unrealistic...Suzanne seems to be the exception to the rule. A positive mind frame and a hot shower obviously does wonders for her but I'm afraid the rest of us just don't have it that easy :-/
Tolerance of pain and medications is different in people. I've had Fibro for 8 years, and spend many days each week bedridden. I get flare-ups that can last months, with "good" days here and there.I live for those. I have tried every med and treatment recommended -felt helpless and hopeless.Heat, some kind of movement, medication, healthy diet, hobbies and compassion really help. You must make a life worth living and be the best you can each day-even if the best for that day is in bed. Keep trying
I recently did a cold Turkey withdrawing from the use of tramadol that was prescribed after a bout of pancreatitis. I also stopped using pregabalin
because my body had developed tolerance to those drugs. Now I have all over body ache in the morning. My Mrs rub me all over with mentholatum to help ease it. get up and do some stretch exercises, walk to the shop or park Anything, dont just sit around and mope, help yourself first before calling the NHS, they,ll just throw more drugs at you.
my mum has fybromyalgia and polymyaliga and im afraid and saying to relax is silly the amount of pain my mum is in she finds it very hard to be positive and relax she take steriods which dont help but relaxing can very hard when our in a alrge amount of pain and no offense but the lady suzanne coutts has evergy, my mum cant eve hoover if she does she has to sleep for 2 hours relaxation cant solve all problems unfortunately :(:(
People have different severity's of it. I think I have this but I haven't been properly diagnosed yet. I get aches and pains and sleep about 12-14 hours a day and still feel tired. I have a good diet and don't drink or smoke but feel like i'm half dead all the time lol. Some people have it and can walk around a bit and do simple chores but some people like your mum can hardly do anything and have it quite severe :(
