I do not understand this program. I mean I do but I don't. These people were gathered together to experience the regency time period. However, instead of playing the role they were assigned they whine and complain. Yet they are also there to "find love'. But when this program is over I'm not sure any of them are really suited to get married as they havn't seen each other in the 21st century. It's not a practical way to fall in love. It's all very rosy glass when in an "austen" costume.
@cinnamonstix1990 That a bit what I'm confused about. Not that I don't love watching it, but like, when they declare marriage does that mean their regency "characters" are going to marry or they're going to be engaged when they get back to the 21st century?
@NicoleMichellePea In addition to terrible posture Miss. Hopkins also has terrible speech and table manners; one wonders if her wealthy father could not have paid for proper etiquette and elocution lessons.
is this scripted?

It's no wonder Jane Austen never married. She was indeed a smart woman in her time.

@gmaureen Are they actually thinking of marrying in real life, in this programme?

Miss cornick should be a regency madame.

@diva1675 In those days, did independance mean no other option than leading an insecure life as a prostitute?
