Stephen King has never had an orginal idea in his life! If anyone knows anything about the history of horror films, and novels...you'll be able to see he doesn't do anything but take someone else's ideas and retailor them.
I watched this movie 2 weeks before we bought Donna (a st.bernhard).. when i saw the movie i wasnt scared, but when we got Donna i started to think, "what if she get rabies? What if she HAS rabies?" lol :D Luckily she didnt,
So many of Stephen King's novels just don't work in movie form. In the novel, "Cujo" takes on a wider meaning and comes to epitomise the boy's fears. You can't hear first person perspectives in movies though which is why so many of them, horror especially, don't work!
In the film it seems ridiculous..it's just a dog. No amount of sharp teeth can make that horrifying.

I really loved those "narrators" back in the 80's for movie trailers. They sounded so convinsing and moody/dark. Today all we get is crap!!!

If the movie is well made it can be as good as the books.
PParranoidd 2 years ago 4
Good...maybe
As good as the book...hell no
jc11xbox 2 years ago
I can't see why not.
PParranoidd 2 years ago
I agree. I can think of a few movies where the book to movie translation worked well, but for me, it wasn't much from his earlier works.

I had a friend say about this film, "A Saint Bernard isn't scary!!"
To which I replied, "If he sunk some teeth into your ass, you would!!"
And now...there's a new name for terror...CUJO.

Der Film ist astrein. Ich habe ihn damals mit meinem Vater geguckt.
Konnte danach schlecht schlafen. Aber genau soeine Wirkung muss ein Horrorfilm auch haben.
Ich liebe Stephen Kings Filmchen
