very good, obviously would have sounded better without the muffling, but the hand technique is excellent, try to get some feet going too, that's where guys like steve smith excel when they can do both fancy stick work and foot work.

I liked the part after 1:23.

But i think that a big part of your solo is just a rythm '"where you use the toms as hi-hat"

oh no, its good and very original....i like it...just thought it has a manufactured type sound and rythem...almost industrial,its difficult to maintain that left handed16 th notes for a minnute and a half....just play what makes you happy dude!

ummmm i dont know what to say....its sounds like a machine and not a human....not much artistic expression....but interesting?....FYI....steve smith went to the same drum instructor in lexington, ma....alan dawson...back in the 80;s.

Few tips.

Practice/Learn Moeller technique.

Use accents!

I can see with your left hand the steve smith style, but the right hand isnt doing anything creative. Neither is the feet. You've got good chops.

Groove, master it. But you have nice speed, which you might be a naturalise. Dont use mufflers on youtube vids >.>

You've got some chops. Too bad you had everything muffled with practice pads and towels. Looks like you're using more of your fingers on your traditional grip hand to keep the stick moving. Try "flicking and turning the wrist" to keep the stick bouncing off the head instead of forcing it with your thumb and index. Nicely done.
