  • I have had great success using a single Viton rubber o-ring on the piston. my bar-stock engines are run under a load until water boils off the head on a regular basis and have yet to replace one other than to replace to check it. C.I. rings are about 5 bucks and an o-ring is about $0.79. While the C.I. rings were in the mail I read postings about o-rings on the Home Shop Machinists website and decided to try them and haven't turned back. Nice running engine. Thanks for posting. Later, Rick.

  • What kind of fuel are you using. I built the same engine but cannot keep it running.

Lantern fuel is all it seems to like.

  • That little bugger is FAST!

  • Excellent!
