  • Brilliant..!!!

  • how many different exhaust do you have! i like the 10 series better

  • @ChevyZ71djd haha, this is the first set up I had on this truck. Had these on for maybe 3 years, then decided to get the 10 series. 10 series were alot more aggressive and louder. I'll have to upload one of the new truck. Same exhaust set up at this truck, but the new truck has the 6.0l.

  • how do you like it? i am looking at the exact same thing for my ford 351w. how much did this cost you total? and is it too loud sometiems?

  • @Skidooman550 I liked it, i have 10 series on it now. Check out my other vids. I had this same set up on my 350 silverado, and it sounded amazing. Alot louder than the 5.3. It will sound great on your 351. It was never too loud for me. I can't remember how much it cost me. I would go to your local exhaust shop and ask for a quote.

  • that sounds pretty dam good considering you still have cats and mufflers still on

  • I gotta 90 silverado with 350tbi and straight pipes headers and 2 cherry bomb vortecs. There probably coming out soon for 40s xD

  • 350???

  • could you tell ant difference in performance with the true duals

  • Nice

  • i need a towel

  • So thats true dual?

  • hey buddy what size pipe and tipes do u have

  • thats what im puttin on my izuzu trooper

  • Finally a straight to the point video...Thanx!!

  • damn thats nice, im doin the exact same thing to my truck :)

but it sucks cuz i live in ca :(

  • @dyePanda nice, you'll like it, and that sucks that ca has all that emission crap

  • @dyePanda accourse pa is getting just as bad haha

  • @JesseBoom700 oh yeah? look at Maine's new law.. has to be the exact way it came from factory or else you get a ticket.. fuckin' ridiculous man

  • AWESOME sounds awesome, does it sound louder at idle then it does on camera?

  • @LowRida5 yeah its louder, but still mellow sounding untill you open it up alittle

  • Can you tell me your EXACT set up on the truck in this video?

  • Manifolds > cats> 2.5" piping> 40 series>more piping then exit from the rear. No Y pipe after the cat. Exhaust runs indivisually off each manifold.

  • I have wood..

  • in my opinion.. best sounding truck i've heard.. i love the sound at high rpms i can't stop watching it lol.. more videos please!!

  • love the sound, by any chance do u know weather they were the super 40s or original? thanx

  • @foxyman637 thanks! they would be the original

  • That sounds fucking good!! I just have a single 40 on my 5.4L F150, gonna go with duals soon. Again, from a Ford owner to a Chevy owner, nice truck and nice exhaust setup!

  • That sound makes me smile :-)

    5 stars mate ;-)

  • Hey remember me? you'll have to scroll down to the bottom to see, but i finally got my truck straight piped and it sounds good. check it out on my page! thanks and tell me what you think

  • this is the best sounding truck on here. i have a 99 with a 5.3 and i am trying to figure out which muffler i want. i did not want a flowmaster like everybody else but i will defiantly reconsider.

  • nice sound is it a 6.0 L?

  • thanks, and nope, its a 5.3

  • sounds good so u don't have any crossover pipe with that setup just one pipe for each header?

  • yep thats correct!

  • i love the sound of your truck and im looking to do the same thing because that is sick. so did you run a true dual with a custom bend and the 40 or how did you do that i guess i dont understand

  • yeah, its all custom. The shop did all the bends so everything would fit. Basically the stock setup has a Y pipe after the two cats then it runs into a single stock mufler. I had that Y removed and had to seperate pipes running back from the cats. Each pipe runs into a 40 series flowmaster, then more piping to exit however you want. This video was straight out the back. So the one pipe had to bend around the spare tire then shoot out the back. Hope that helps! Thanks for the complements!

  • thanks alot yeah that helped alot! i was hoping to try and do all that myself in my shop! so thanks again!!

  • the muffler shop where I had mine done welded the two super 40's together right where the stock muffler was and that damn thing looked like a 30 gallon drum it was huge. With the custom 2.5'' and the 3'' tips it ran me 405.00 I had them installed in feb of 08

  • Thanks, I love how the 6.0's sound, such a powefull deep sound. I have 10 series on now and it made it alot deeper and throatier sounding. I cant remember how much this cost me...they eliminated the Y pipe after the cats and ran a pipe off each manifold, then into 40's series on each branch...true dual i guess. It wasn't more then $300, but i already had the muflers and tips off my old truck

  • I had the same set up on my old truck, but with two high flow cats, and the 40 series. That cost around $600 for everything. Muflers and Cats were the most pricy

  • sounds exactly like mine on my 2000 chevy 6.0

  • How much did that cost?

  • That sounds so fucking good.

  • did u put in a whole new set up or just duel it out from the stock area?

  • Its all new from the manifolds back. Your truck with two muflers will sound good. Its hard to notice or even explain the difference between the two, but you'll notice it and hopefully like it. On this set up, i had my two 40series right beside each other running up the right side of my truck. I have 10s on now which is so much louder and meaner sounding!

  • my truck was duled from the manifold all the way to the muffler to a stock 2in2out set up from the factory, this summer i went and cut he stock one off and finshed dualing it out with a singe flowmaster 40 2in/2out, now if i fill in the gap where the muffler is now and move the muffler to where there is room ( about 2-3 feet from the bumper) and put dual mufflers and make it a true duel with it still sound good? i ask this because where the muffler is now theres not enough room to put 2 mufflers

  • are these the super 40s or the delta flow 40s?

  • those are just the original 40s

  • idk about the mpg but you gain horsepower and i cud see you gettin better mpg becouse your motor can breath better with true duals

  • i was told by a few ppl that with true duals you lose power is this true ? also do you get better or less mpg

  • ill look under it tomorrow to make sure there is no sensors on what looks like a 3rd cat hope its just two i dont want to void the warranty

  • I think the newer silverados have 2 cats also, but I think they also have a resonator too. The resonator is just to quiet it down alittle more guess, you dont need it.

  • see i looked under it and i have to small cats befor the y pipe and then down the pipe a littile has what looks like another one the two befor the y pipe have sensers and the one down the pipe a little does not have any sensers so is the one that looks like a cat down the pipe a littile a resonator ?

  • yeah, i'm pretty sure thats a little resonator. If it doesnt have any sensors or anything, you can take it out. My buddy has an 08 with a resonator after the Y pipe too.

  • Nice one, wonderful music!! Thats the best part when it bangs on down shifting i just love it, i enjoy it in the 5.7 liters LS1 V8 with borlas 2.5 inch dual pipes.

Try slight tuning (level 1) that should give u like 25 to 40 hp net.

  • This sounds amazing, i had a single in single out 40 and it just wasnt loud enough. so i was thinking about doing this and it just sealed the deal

  • Nice, i would def go true dual. I actually just got 10 series on, alot louder. But get an H pipe if you're gonna get those, when down shifting they crack and bang once in awhile...kinda sounds like a 9mm haha.

  • you should put a vid up of what it sounds like with the 10 series

  • i just uploaded one. Its a different camera so it doesn't sound as crisp as this one, but its a huge difference from the 40 series.

  • will high flow cats make your exhaust louder? or just add more power cuz of less restriction?

  • I guess it all depends on what truck you have. Some stock cats are already highflowing. Like the silverado in the video. I also asked the exhaust shop about that too, and they said it doesn't make a difference at all with sound

  • i cant wait to hear your new set up, i thought this sounded good but the 10 series must sound amazing!

  • man that sounds nice

  • thanks, i actually just got some 10 series put on to see how they sound. They are alot more agressive sounding, throatier, and louder. Closer to the straight pipe sound. I'll get a video on here soon!

  • how is it poppin?

  • is this a 6.0l or a 5.3? i have the exact same set up on my 6.0l

  • Its a 5.3, i always wanted to see what a 6.0 sounds like with this set up

  • i made a vid but it wont go up? i think it might be to high deff. but man that thing sounds nice. man has a little less pop but sounds clean

  • Hey im just wonder but how much did you pay for yours. i have a 95 f250. i think i have a 351 windsor in it. but im not sure. thanks for your help

  • I paid around $200 for only the piping and labor since i alreay had the two 40 series, two highflow cats( not installed on this truck), and the tips from my old 95 silverado. The cost of my old silverado( same set up but with the highflow cats) was around $600 for everything. Hope that kinda helps

  • i got a 95 f150 with the 351 and i got an estimate for duel flowmaster 40s and they told me about 500 for all new pipeing +mufflers +labor

  • thanks for replying, i am thinking i may get that done to my truck because it sounds just like what im looking for

  • how does it sound inside the truck? because i have the exact same truck and i want it to be loud outside and loud inside

  • You can hear it pretty good, but not as bad as others i been in. Its more of a low rumble/droan inside.

  • So what is a good muffler ( flowmaster )(magnaflow) for a daily driver...nice tone when you get on it, but still quiet when you idle....I have a 6.0L Sierra Denali (2003). I am always having clients run around with me, so something modest...I know it's kind of gay! haha

  • flowmaster 50 series would be great-it's for SUV's.

  • awesome dude....i just got an orgasm for a minute lol. im gonna put it on my explorer 2000 just for the fuck of it

  • 1992 Chevy C1500 Sport 5.7 350 has open headers now

  • Damn that sounds good !

I'm getting this same exhaust for my truck

  • awesome man, you should post a video of it and compare how it sounds. What truck do you have?

  • DAMNNNN DOPE ASS SOUND ITS AWESOME

  • AAAAAHHHHH nothing like a flowmaster...... I'll be posting a video of my '91 P/U with LT-1 breathing through true duals with no cats!!!!! I know the owner of the muffler shop and I was there the whole time, The way we ran it I don't have to drop my exaust to pull the transmission..

  • thax for the info it does help to clear things up.n 98 my dad and i rebuilt his 93 single cab sportside gmc,it actually startd w/ fixin a bent rod then it snowballd.the end result was a 383 stroker,a th400,9 inch ford w/4 link and 3.90 gears.he had headers made so that he could run 3 inch cherry bombs side pipes.i just loved the way they let the cam speak for itself.sad but true it was ditchd n a bad storm coming home from the track.insurance said no so he partd it out. now its back 2 stock

  • how did u run the piping on the driver side cause i kno the gas tank is rite there n that is 1 of my main issues? also i'm still not sure if i should run the pipes out the back or xit n front of the rear wheels. but i still want 1 pipe w/ cat n glasspack (which i already have 2 cherry bombs) per bank. ur info would mean alot to help me decide. i didn't think of this stuff till i saw n heard ur truck. awesome. u got 1 helluva truck. mines an 04 5.3l

  • The exhaust shop has both of my running on the passenger side of the truck till infront of the spare tire. Then the driver side bank bends towards the driver side and around the spare tire and exits out the back, and the passenger side bank just continues straight back along side of the spare tire. I actually just got my pipes to exit out the sides in back on the rear tires. (i can hear if off the buildings better lol) Hope that helps out alittle! Thanks for the comment!

  • im thinkin about doin the same thing. same truck. same muffler. my question is do i need two mufflers or can i get away with one muffler one pipe in and two out? What do you think? would it be louder if i used 2? would i just run separate pipes from each cat to each muffler?

  • If you dont mind spending the money, i would go with the true duals. Just get rid of the Y pipe after the cats, and run a pipe off each cat, into a 40 series, then run the exit pipe however you want. You can check out my other video titled "dualing silverados" my cusin has just one flowmaster on. Sinlge in Dual out.

  • wat size engine is that?

  • 5.3

  • fuck it it sounds mint...little minds get distracted so fast lol its a video about the truck

  • lol dude we've been done with this for a while :D

YES it was cold outside, but the engine was already warm, and the man did not mess up his engine what so ever there. END of story :)

  • lol no, i'm laughing at kingsaffey "

way to fuck an engine up. cold start up with instant revving" and Jesse said "Stop assuming it was cold, i just got back from walmart."

    pwnd.

  • way to fuck an engine up. cold start up with instant revving

  • Stop assuming it was cold, i just got back from walmart. Trust me, its not cold.

  • LOL OWNED! :D he got back from wal-mart n00b ._.

  • hahah xD

  • @kingsaffey who said it was cold?

  • That sounds brutal!!!

  • damn

  • did you notice any performance gains from the true duals?

  • Those the delta flows or the original 40s?

  • Those are original 40s

  • AHH!! I WANT THOSE!! i just got a 40 series flowmaster today - not as tight as what you have though

  • Hey Chevy Brother, the 5.3L Vortec is truly a 323ci. 1L equates to approx. 60.943ci. x 5.3 = 323ci. Anyway, your truck sounds awesome. Did you say stocks cats with a series 40 running off each bank with 2.5 pipes?

  • Yep, stock cats, each running into a 40 series, and 2.5 piping.

  • damn, i thought they were 325's lol

    good to know

  • A 5.3 vortec motor is a 323 cubic inch motor, the 327 inch small block chevy hasn't been put in a production car/truck for decades. It is like comparing apples to hookers. They arn't the same, or even the same generation of a gm motor.

  • sounds nice...you should get some high flow cats..dont cut them off..cause i did that to my yukon..and man iam paying for it..rough idle, gas mileage goes down alot...but it sounds good.lol....truck sounds nice...no headers?

  • Yeah i have stock headers, and i actually do have a pair of highflow cats off my old truck, they're pretty new too. I just wasnt sure about putting them on cause the guy at the exhaust shop said that the stock cats on this truck are basically highflow cats, plus i wasnt sure if it would mess up the o2 sensors.

  • go to chevys site and look the 5.3 really is a 323

  • so is a fuckin 327. they both are

  • dude that sounds so fucking crisp

  • no better way to describe it!

  • No X pipe, just two stock cats, then two 40 series flowmasters. 2.5 inch piping.

  • that sounds badass bro, do you have an x-pipe under there?

  • nice truck man sounds sweet, chevy ftw!

  • by the way they havent made a 327 in a long time

  • the 5.3L Vortec V8 is a 327ci block

  • lol wut? they have been for a long time. 5.3 is a 327, 5.7 is a 350, 6.0 is a 364, 7.0 is a 427, 7.4 is a 454, 81 is a 496. shall i go on ?

  • you can if you want, i left that comment 2 months ago...move on!

  • sorry the 5.3 is a 323 your wrong buddy

  • yea sorry but YOU are wrong buddy...5.3 is a 327.

  • nice cold start to full throttle with no warm up

  • It was warmed up, I just got back from work, I wouldnt rev it if it was cold...

  • u sir are a badd azz

  • not good to rod on er when shes cold

  • sounds great!

  • Dude.

    Awesomeness. I got a '01 silverado

and I put a 454 in it. 357 bhp. Badasss.

    Chevy forever.

  • thats all?

  • ive looked at a lot of rams and that is by far the best sounding one ever.. whats the 0-60 and 1/4 mile

  • too bad thats a silverado

  • nice sound

  • Hey thanks, yeah i had this set up on my 95' silverado 350. Except i also had two highflow cats. Now i installed the flowmasters on the 2000 silverado with new piping, but i couldnt install the highflow cats because of the o2 sensors. I may put a pair of MIL eliminators and install the highflows or hollow the cats out. The whole exhaust system with the cats cost around $600 with labor.

  • damn dude i love that noise

  • Sounds fuckin beautiful man! *thumbs up*

  • sweet. After tomorow ill have truel duel flomaster 40s on my 5.3l '03 Silverado. watching this gave me a nice smile.... Check out my video of my truck, if you wheel yours, it may give u some ideas on other things to do

  • Sounds good man. Do you have after market headers on your truck? I am going to redo my whole exhaust system on my truck. Pacesetter Longtube headers, Magnaflow Hi-flow Cats, Custom H-pipe, two 40 series flowmasters, and two 18 inch long slash cut tips out the back under the bumper. I want true dual exhaust. Hey, check out the videos of my truck that I have on youtube now. let me know what you think.
