I don't know why Milton wrote this poem. It would be interesting to know that (If anyone knows)..

But I feel this song very personal myself. Like someone took my own thoughts and feelings and put it in a song.. But at the end.. I think that this song is about EVERYONE. The sorrow of life just exist no matter are you capable to see it, to feel it or not.. No matter are you obsessed with it or trying to put it on a side and let the hope to lead you from your "dock" to the unknown...

My interpretation of the song is rather simple. Judging from the tones, sorrow seems to be the main theme, there's sorrow but there's also stillness/calmness and hope. Same reasons why I've always loved blues and jazz.

Of course, I don't understand a word she's saying nor do I attempt to translate it.

Sometimes things are just best left unsaid.

I don't read Portuguese, nor have a translation, so the only thing I can use is babelfish etc. My first idea was that it's the song of a god who has made this fleeting world where every desire and every thing of life or beauty destroys itself in trying to fulfill itself endlessly. I feel that maybe it's simpler: not a god, but any of us at the moment we learn the same love destroys, just as it creates. I would love if someone could translate what she says before playing.
