a precious friend collapsed yesterday evening with a brain aneurysm. by this morning she was gone. my sister's best friend.
i spent the day today with her, sitting in her backyard gazebo. there were a few of us there, hugging, ordering pizza delivery and sharing our favorite stories of our friend, her husband and their african grey parrot, Tony.
when i got home tonight, i knew my goai was clear... must get to the laptop so i can see kelly's essay on transcending.

Kelly, thank you for sharing so personally. What a gift you have at telling your story. I loved seeing and hearing you with your Dad. I lost my father six months ago and a warmth filled my heart (and tears in my eyes) as I listened to you read. What a blessing to have Daddy with you.
