I recoment you do NOT try this... I was oppening a old toshiba one that didnt hold a charge. Yea.... 2 cells seriosly damages and becoming molten hot and a thirf taking damage

hello.i got 3.7v 2800mah cell and replaced them , but the battery terminals do not give any output nor the led indicator works, i have cheaked the cells are charged and they give 11.4v in that setup but the battery circuit does not give any output.

Can anyone (Sklarm) tell me how to open the battery - couldn't find any screws or something, all I could do is ruin plastic with my screwdriver :(

be patient opening the battery. Use a small flat head screw driver and slowly go around the case just opening it a little bit at a time. This can take several minutes to do well, and less than a minute to just destroy plastic.

Hmm, may I suggest if ANYONE is going to play with re-packing Li-Ion batt packs, they:

1) LEARN TO SOLDER PROPERLY. (Too much heat can turn a Li-Ion cell into a grenade) When soldering cells you need to do it fast & good. High blobs of solder means too little heat used. Solder not "flowing" means not clean or needs more flux.

2) Do not try & push the current from Li-Ion battery through self adhesive strips! You bought cells with SOLDER TABS on them.....USE THEM??!!

sklarm, thanks for the vid, but the quality of yt videos made for some blurry text. Could you overlay some yt annotations instead? Maybe also add some note annotations on what you're doing, too :) It was a little bit hard to follow when you suddenly added the side cells, didn't follow what went where. Thanks!

Yes, this type of replacement is almost identical on most PC batteries. Especially ones that are over 2 years old.
