This is why we need to have replay reviews in MLB. There have been bad calls in MLB just like every other pro sports league, but this one was horrible. Anyone else could have gotten the call right. If there's any sport that needs replay reviews that doesn't right now, it's baseball.
The bigger question is, why are you angry at ME? Even if it wasn't done intentionally but rather 'cause the ump is a total idiot....then shouldn't you be outraged at MLB for allowing such gross incompetence?
So, as a baseball fan, your priorities are backwards. Maybe you're just a very trusting and loving individual who doesn't like to believe in corruption. If so, I wish that you'd extend some of your trust to strangers like me, instead of corporations like MLB.
CameronFanSite: Because this entire vid and post is ludicrous. I said it in my original reply, ...you dont' umpire do you? The answer MUST be "no".
Phil Cuzzi probably got fined in a major way for this. But, ...corruption? Come on man! Like I said to Jurkis1, do you think 9/11 involved the Government too? Please.....
@DSpratlincom I know this is a late reply BUT what evidence do you need? It was the 11th inning, if that was fair the Twins would have obviously scored and won the game. The umpire could have not made any mistake, especially when you are 5 feet away from the ball. He clearly saw it hit the LF glove and the dirt bounce in fair territory, a blind guy could've called that fair
Because the yankers just buy championships and don't/couldn't understand what its like when you have to use what you have and can't just pay whoever the hell you want to play for you. And they couldn't understand the feeling and meaning of winning when its with the guys you're given and you don't have the money to just buy anyone.
There's so much more satisfaction when you're not rich and cocky and actually put your heart and soul into something and not just $'s and i'd rather be a part of that no matter the outcome. I almost feel bad for people like that, fans and players alike because yes sure its great to win, but they'll never know the feeling of winning and/or just being part of a team when its because of the heart and determination of a group that pulls together and not just skill and money.
As i said in another video of this....ya the inge call was "so obvious" right? are you kidding me, you could hardly tell unless you watched it in slow motion. That was definitely understandable. This? You have to be joking. Or in the case of the ump-very rich due to his deal with the yankees. Or maybe he's just a fan. The thing is, with all the big cocky as hell yankees and their fans why would they think they needed the help of officiating? I mean they expect to win anyway right?
This particular play was different from many other calls (like the Inge call you cited, or also the infield single Chase Utley was awarded in game 3 of the NLDS) because there was NO BELIEVABLE WAY that the umpire did this by accident. Those other plays are, in my opinion, very forgivable mistakes.
This was corruption, not an accident. The ball might as well have landed in center field it was so obvious.
You my friend, and an absolute bafoon! Are you an umpire? Dumb question, because obviously you're not or you would have researched and found out about the explanation on what happend, and, more importantly, WHY it happened.
Now, ...bad call?? HOORRRRIIBBBLE call, but CORRUPTION? Please, find something worth while to post about ok?
Im a Yankees fan but Ray Charles could have seen that

And another thing, ...this entire video post can / could be taken as slander. I'd be careful of what you accuse!

All you've proven is that the umpire was wrong. You haven't proven what his intention was and you can't do so from the "evidence" presented.

@Drewski131313 Which is more probable: the umpire made a mistake because he is human or the umpire intentionally made the wrong call?
Keep in mind that if he was caught he would be fired and face criminal prosecution.
I rest my case.

So should I assume you already forgot the blown call on Inge (when he was hit with a pitch with the bases loaded in the playoff game) already?
