Schools are apparently burnt more often than any other type of building. Arson is not the reason, either. Most schools are built cheaply. I don't know about this one, but you were unlucky that some 'tard set light to the school.
I had a similar thing happen to me in 1984 when my school had a fire in the basement. I thought it was a drill until I went outside and saw the black smoke coming out the chimney and the doors.
In 4th grade we had a problem with the sprinklers and we were forced 2 wait outside... in like February. Also, in 7th grade, some bastard pulled a false alarm. Fortunately, it was around mid-September that time and it was warmer.
Holy shit dude I remember all that. Oh and the alarm in 7th grade was one of my buddies but rofl it was a total accident it was hilarious you shouldve seen the look on his face.
eh...to tell you the truth we got out of a week of school, we had half days for the rest of the year, and the band didn't have to play a song in Disney...we just enjoyed the trip. I hate to say it but the fire was quite a helping hand...
