How do you expect people in the arctic to grow plants in short two months of the warm season that they shall eat in the winter months. This is why animals are harvested in order to survive in the old days but including the present 2011. Inuit respect the animal and think they have souls whereas the western world think otherwise i.e man shall have control over animals. What other choice do you give Northerners???? Chew on that.
The Inuits adapted to an unforgiving environment and lived in harmony with nature for centuries. Us modern people have no right to place judge them or their ways, especially when we are destroying arctic lands with global warming.
"If you eat a wild animal you support a healthy animal?" No, dude. If you eat a wild animal you slaughter a happy sentient being! And no, I don't eat meat.
I think most of you eat meat. if you eat pig or cow that lives under horrible conditions you support that, and even more animals will be kept under these conditions.

@seeingstones Are you thick? I happen to know this is modern times and that they get a certain allowance of food etc. to sustain them healthily. i actually do research and you should try it out.
i am very thick. yes. thank you for pointing that out to everyone. Harpoon throwing is a sport, chief. Thats why people are watching / learning how to do it. It is about preserving the traditional ways. Those ways I am VERY interested in. Thats why this video is part of my research. Maligiaq IS the BEST.

Hey for hunting was a so called sport and we stopped that in humane tradition. Instead of priding the murderous tendancies of it on youtube.
