  • Thanks man. Im running the jl mids and highs with the hifonix amp, would you get JL crossovers or Hifonix crossovers?

  • @TaidyJ JL then there made for your speakers and they shouldn't bitch about warranty issues

  • do you think that amp will be strong enough to power 2 jl audio 6x5s, 2 jl audi0 6x9s, and to jl tweeters?

  • @TaidyJ yes but you will need crossovers

  • How do you like these after having them in your car for a few months? Any problems?

  • @Blaylock1988 No problems per say...just make sure you dont over power them, or send them a bad signal, and you will be good...

  • @CheezyMane13 I put that same amp into my brother's car to power some 50W rms Audioban speakers. It sounds pretty good. I know those Hifonics speakers are rated to 100W rms (I have a feeling they are over rated) and I was thinking of hooking them up to a Power Acoustic STAX amp which is rated for 100Wx4 rms.

  • @Blaylock1988 If they are overrated its only a few watts like 5-10max....A buddy of mine had these speakers adn was putting 120 RMS to them, so if its clean power you can put the 100rms, that power acoustick amp is not gonna put anywhere close to 100rms a channel maybe 75 so your good

  • @BigTwoSevenKills this was like 7 year ago...i really dont know

  • @BigTwoSevenKills for the money i liked these...and i have never been a kicker fan, first set of 10s i had years ago old school ones were POS

  • where can i buy that button that youve hooked up to to the 5a fuse inline

  • @riderave i got mine at Radio Shack, but i got the wrong one, i was trying to get a 12v switch instead i got a 120v switch...so the Blue LED wont come on until i get 120v to that switch, so just make sure u get a 12v switch and the LED will light up to let u know the switch is on...they cost like $4

  • @CheezyMane13 Is that where you bought your inline fuse holder too? Is it a ATM Fuse holder?

  • @riderave yes i got the fuse holder there too...its a fuse holder with two pieces of 10AWG wire attached to it....I just soldered the wire directly to longer wired that i then split up to smaller wire to turn the LEDs of thew speakers on. the fuse holder is actually a ATC fuse holder, make it easier for changing

  • sorry no inglish me, este set funciona bien?

  • how do you like these? if i didnt have a sub would they hold up the low end decently? i know the lows wont be poundin, but i dont really need that much bass

  • @austinpetemo personally i have never used the low end from these speakers just the mids and highs

  • awesome i cant wait.

    thanks 4 tha info!

  • i just ordered these same speakers and amp.

    how r urs doin?

  • @letdabassdrop not too bad jsut took everything outta the van though so

  • @CheezyMane13 like how about sound quality?

  • @letdabassdrop they get better after a few weeks like 2-3 weeks, adn after a month there crisp

  • hey buddy how many fuses do you need per set one or two?

  • @asilator well the only thing that you need to fuse is the the power wire going to the amp.....also if you are using the LEDs in the speakers...i used a 10A fuse for this video

  • @CheezyMane13

    what song is that?

  • @SnickerzBoi36 ill have to get back to you on that one

  • hey man im wanting to get this speakers but with a crunch pzt900.4 do you recommend them

  • @djsparkmunoz For the price I recommend these speakers, but i don't know if i would recommend that CRUNCH amp

  • what kind of wiring kit did you buy? or is it not a wiring kit?

  • @Techmaster05 Well all the wire that I used in this for the speakers came with the wires for the crossover and the tweeters....The wire I hooked up to the crossovers from the amp were some old wires i had from another car of mine that i pulled the system out of....and same thing for power and remote all were old systems wires

  • Hey im planing to put these in o vw ... Jus wondering for the light in the midle where do u get the power for it ooo by the way i dont have the same amp

  • @zzlati If you watch the video again you can see that at 1:05 i pushed a button. This button i wired up to my battery and put a 5A fuse inline with the button. This will allow you to turn the lights on and off with or without having the speakers on. Also this is the right way to wire the lights up

  • I just got a set of these, and they dont seem loud at all. How long was the break in period?

  • @afcollege09 Are you running them off a amp? If you are they will scream. And i found the break in period to be about 2-3 weeks of daily listening, they really don't get that much louder, but they get cleaner and sound better

  • @CheezyMane13 I am running them off my stock amp. It's sad because they are only getting about 20w rms to them each. They sound better then my stock ones so I'm happy. Plus I have the subs for bass anyways.

  • @afcollege09 Even with these hooked up to a amp the bass is clean good mid bass, I surprise people when I turn my subs off, and you can hear the mid bass. When you say stock amp you mean your head unit don't you.

  • i plan on buying the same set up for my rx8. are the speakers any good? is it possible to turn the blue lights off the speakers?

  • @philippestrapko1

Ya man check out my other videos the lights are a complete different hookup. In my other videos, I have them in my car, and there not hooked up yet, I love them they have a nice crossover for the tweeters, and they actually scream

  • CheezyMane13, while i do like your preference in Hifonics products, i must inform you that your VOLUME that you have turned up halfway on your amp is NOT A VOLUME CONTROL! it is the gain control, which is to match the signal from the cd player to that of the amp. additionally, you should not be playing your speakers freeair (not mounted). that is a really good way to fry the voicecoils.

  • @rsmelto I don't believe I said volume from my amp, I think I said half power from the, and using the volume control from my Zune. I know the power of the amp is controlled by the gain, that's why i said only about half power from the amp, and not turned up to half power. I only had the speakers go like this for a few minutes, just a little longer then the video, and when you put these speakers in your car they are free air anyways, so why should it matter the only difference is the mounting.

  • The song is by Tyga. But I don't know the song name give me a minute and I'll look. I think it's called "Hit It"

  • cool! whats the name of the song, i cant read it :S
