I've had my PS2 since the spring of 2001.............I've used it SO much for so long, from playing Gran Turismo 3, to watching James Bond movies, you'd think it'd have died like 5 years ago............well, guess what? It's still going strong, even after all it's been thru...........that's what I call durable. ;-)

It's been my favorite console forever now, and I can't wait to finally get a PS3 soon........thanks for 15 years of quality products Sony! =)

This is awesome, i still cant believe Ps2 is still alive, they really know what they are doing. The push on better graphics with a good lineup of games really help out a long lasting system. Wouldnt be surprised if the ps3 will outlast the ps2. I still own a ps1 & everything works as good as day 1. And all this console wars is crazy, If you look at each console, each has their own strengths which enables them all to sell which i think Sony helped shape by making by the ps2 work with ps1 games.

I don't have an Xbox.. last gen there was no need for an Xbox, all titles were on the PS2 (that were not Nintendo's). This gen both the 360 and the PS3 have pretty much the same third-party titles.. But I'm not much of a shooter fan so I don't need a 360, plus I don't feel like having to deal with my console breaking every few months.

It is all about Playstation. They have had the best titles of the last 3 generations, always pushing the envelope with capabilities and features. No one has been able to out do PS in the last 3 generations.

Also a fun note: PS has sold more consoles in 3 generations than Nintendo has in 5! That includes Wii and NES!

Also PS is the only console to sell more than 100 million consoles. Not even Nintendo has done that to date! No one else has.
