Sore throat actually doesn't affect a singer's belt as much as it affects the speaking and head voice, for the reason that belting uses the contraction of the diaphragm and not the throat (as with other vocal styles).

seriously songbird grabeh kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa­a the best singer talaga sige nga pakantahin nyo yan sa mga baguhang singers habang paos kaya kaya nila :))

WTF! How could she possibly do that everytime? No speaking voice yet able to belt her heart out? She also did that during the second night of her "Twenty" concert in 2006. She could barely speak yet was able to belt out all her songs including "I don't wanna miss a thing" (2nd night in blue gown)and "What kind of fool am I" (in a red gown, while sitting on the floor). It's here on YT. Damn gifted woman Regine is.
