I am fairly new to youtube and I created my first ever video.

youtube will get very unserious, if they dont do anything against this. its the same thing, if a pokersite allows bots, because they dont loose money, if they dont do sth against this. nobody would like to go to a pokersite with bots. that should be the same with youtube
dude u got it backwards youtube came down on VIEW bots!!! ie 30000 views no subscribers... if u have 30000 subscribers you have legit views & sub bots dont break tos... they stay within peramiters!!! its not an artificial inflation, just an automated one!!!
@tomken8dy well no u can get round the ip issue with proxies etc & still create an effective view bot the prob tho is a lot of ip hiding tools youd use have issues with the flv component. its entirely possible though. sub bots like as you mention tube toolbox are legit & generate real views. as i said i think youtube are worried about fraud as oposed to automation.
@pauloscum Some automation tools collect user names randomly or from friend/sub lists of other people. That's spamming. There's still a lot of cheating going on. LIAT had a sock farm army with programs that he used to send himself thousands of generic comments and thumbs up. He would keep the video on private, give himself 1000 thumbs up and fake comments then make it public. I've seen it happen with top partners too. The video instantly appears with 2000 thumbs up.
@tomken8dy absolutely to state all bots are legit would be an obv lie!! i however find bots an interesting topic as from a purely achademic programiming "problem solving" stand point... ie heres a site with tos & set restrictions... how to exploit, or even break that without ever getting caught by them. i like bots & u dont have to break tos to get what you want either i think, not if you are smart.
@pauloscum I fly straight and I never try to game the system. Whenever I get a PM w a vid attached, if it doesn't have 25 addresses at the bottom, I know it was done with Toolbox. When I "spam" my friends list I do it by hand, one address book page at a time. Frankly, I resent people who "set it and forget it" and let their computer go through their whole address book overnight while they sit on their lazy asses.

The reason I don't understand cheating is because it doesn't make any sense why you'd do it besides your view count being large. If your viewership sucks it's most likely because your content sucks. i dont know the relevance tomken... but a while ago i logged onto my account and realized i had apperently subscribe to people ive never heard of i asked everyone with access to this terminal of the internet if the went on my account and they all denied doing it...they wouldn't lie to me i know that... but maybe the partners would lie about real subscribers...
Of those 14 views, I think some are not from subscribers as I have taken the opportunity to plant a couple of negative comments here and there to get angry people to come and look for revenge.
So I suspect that my subscriber viewings are only around 30% of total views.
What this test shows is that either people are subscribing for reasons other than video enjoyment or youtube's viewing figure stats are somewhat maligned for this channel.
As you know, I started a new channel. The content was short, original and nothing great but nothing really hateable. It was buzzable in that it should have left people motivated to watch the second episode.
All the subscribers are current and daily active with, at the very minimum, 26 out of the 33 having logged on in the last 24 hours. It is now 36 hours since the second video was uploaded and youtube tells me it has had 14 views.
LIFEINATENT did that and was suspended, but he still appears in videos belonging to MeganLeeHeart

A view bot is a simple html code that auto refeshes.
View counts freeze at 301 or thereabouts now.
Too many views from the same IP is red flagged.
Lisa Nova was spamming the living crap out of YT.
TubeToolbox does not violate tos but I still don't like it

i dont know the relevance tomken... but a while ago i logged onto my account and realized i had apperently subscribe to people ive never heard of i asked everyone with access to this terminal of the internet if the went on my account and they all denied doing it...they wouldn't lie to me i know that... but maybe the partners would lie about real subscribers...

Of those 14 views, I think some are not from subscribers as I have taken the opportunity to plant a couple of negative comments here and there to get angry people to come and look for revenge.
So I suspect that my subscriber viewings are only around 30% of total views.
What this test shows is that either people are subscribing for reasons other than video enjoyment or youtube's viewing figure stats are somewhat maligned for this channel.

This might be of interest to someone:
As you know, I started a new channel. The content was short, original and nothing great but nothing really hateable. It was buzzable in that it should have left people motivated to watch the second episode.
All the subscribers are current and daily active with, at the very minimum, 26 out of the 33 having logged on in the last 24 hours. It is now 36 hours since the second video was uploaded and youtube tells me it has had 14 views.

It did, I've only been online just under a year ago, I did some snooping after I subbed to Lisa Nova and saw what she was doing.
I generally Unsubscribed from her channel out of Principle.
I don't do cheaters.. I earned my 50 Subscribers dag namit! :D
