Plus you know, as people age and grow their outlook on life and the world changes too. As with Sharon, starting and raising a family must have had a great influence on her musical direction as well. She's stated before that they considered themselves a Symphonic Metal band, not Goth. It just seems to me that there is more chance of evolving into pop from Symphony/Metal. And if you listen close you can still catch the Metal grinds occasionally and such with the symphonic influences as well.

Maybe theyve become more pop. But with all bands there is evolution, wether it be for commercial success or just their musical desires. They are still a great band and I would rate Sharon among some of the best female vocalists of our time. Dont count them out yet, maybe after theyve enjoyed tremendous success of commercial status for a few years they will eventually go back to their roots. It's happened before with bands. The test will be if they can stay together after this change.
