  • *Sniff* I don't like this ending, I liked Elza. Is this really cannon? *Goes and cries*

  • Took me over 21 hours to complete the quest and I saw the ending.

  • Comment removed

  • Kinda looks like the scene from Metal Gear Solid when you beat Sniper Wolf in the Snowfield

  • Look I don't mean to be a bitch but Clive is freaking high-maintenance! Is he any good!?!

  • so sad :( trully an extraordinary game

  • after 2 weeks of restarting this BRILLIANT game 3 times because i missed some characters and i finally get to this scene...after i thought i'd finally get elza..... :(

    clive ftw :)

  • Holy shit!, you actually see Clive's head and hair! LOL!

  • What happens after you complete this quest? do you get any item? I NEVER was able to complete it. Every time I tried I would be late and just for a small amount of time. I really didn't want to find out what happens by having to watch on youtube, but I really didn't have the patience to try it again.

  • Would have been better if Elza had been one of the 108 Stars Of Destiny...If she was usable Her and Clive would have probably had an amazing unite attack.

  • man that was pretty sad, thanks for the video. i could never speed through the game to do this.

  • It's very clear that after laughing at Clive for believing her story, Elza shoots in the air with the white Mond gun, proving that it actually had bullets and that her story was just a hoax.

  • @drewzter0615 but all of the best lies contain an element of truth. Somewhere in her lies was some truth and I would really like to know what it was.

  • It takes a lot of thinking to create a multi threading story that intertwines with one another through politics, hands down to the story board director of Suikoden series.

  • man this game is brilliant....

  • Thanks for uploading it. :D I usually take time when playing games so I'm quite doubtful about being able to finish this quest. XD Suikoden II is truly one amazing game. :D

  • ....to say this in ghetto terms: He capped that bitch good. Damn.

  • such a sad scene. Wish it was a real one on one duel instead of a scene

  • Elza not JOIN? O.o!!!!! T_T Both work for nothing xD

  • u get anything from that quest ?

  • Yeah, I wish they explained more of the story. I can't tell what exactly happened, but it was really cool.

  • so after she's shot she gives that story about one gun being unloaded, and clive buys it. but then she says it was a lie and to prove it she shoots her gun. so what's the real story?

  • @jlk2100 I guess that she loved him and couldn't bring herself to shoot him. She mentioned that at one point they "were more than friends." Just a random guess, since the translation is only so-so

  • @UNCrunfree Semi-crap is more like it.

  • totally worth it, what does elza mean when she says " you did'nt really believe that sob story "? p;lease reply.

  • the story of elza is so sad but I dont know if its real...*sob,sob*

  • when your going to jowston hill, is that after it muse was saved or when jowy asked for a peace treaty?

  • shit 24hours 1 minute damm

  • Was Elza in the first game?

  • no, but she was mentioned. There is a grave in Rockland, and if you visit it with clive in your party a hidden scene is triggered

  • I finished in 20 hours 15 minutes.. Can do it alot faster though but it aint no fun to rush it

  • do you get any items? or does it just something different at the end about clive?

  • How do you get to Sajah village?

  • it's at the end of the game after you defeat highland you gain access to it, hence why finishing this quest in 20 hours is pretty difficult.

  • Okay thanks bud

  • ....Unicorn army, hmm?

  • WTF? is that all? I thaught that Elza will join.

  • Suik 2 is the best of the series...!

  • Wow! Didnt know about this sidequest even I played suikoden 2 for several times... thanks for uploading!

are there any other sidequest i probably do not know?

  • wat's the time limit for this quest?

  • 20 hours

  • Riou is the main characters name huh........very nice i like it...before mine was Erion.....then my sister was Gavin....then i played it couple more times then named him Kai....hehe =b

  • this is very touching :[

  • When Clive gave Elza the rifle it somewhat reminded me of Metal Gear Solid when Sniper Wolf wants her rifle

  • Go to Cave of Wind when you've been able to gather your 100 tenkai stars warriors. Go to where you got the Star Dragon Sword

  • The title "Tenkai" star is unique to the leader. :3

  • hey ... can any1 teLL me how to get pesmerga?? pLz pLz pLz...

  • good job!,best game ever!

  • I went as far as Muse but couldn't go any further :( and I was so close :( First time to see this, thank you :)

  • after i go in muse elza said that she's in the sajah village and i go there together w/ clive but wat the hek happened elza didndt appear

  • clive and pesmerga my favorite chars, badass imo

pesmerga should also have had a side story, hunting down yuber :3

  • That is actually a really good idea :-)

  • There is no game that can beat the brilliant storywriting of Suikoden II. All the side quests and dialogues..THE WHOLE GAME! Brilliant..

  • @Romupaasi Brilliant? Come on. Suikoden 2 is a subpar game. The music isnt anything special, the character development is plain horrible (with some exceptions such as Shu, Nanami, and Jowy). The story is way too short, not to mention predictable, and a majority of all the characters are just placed in the game for the sake of having 108 stars of destiny. Don't get me wrong, SUikoden 2 is def a favorite due to the battle system and graphics, but to call it brilliant is giving too much credit.

  • @michelrpg subpar? oh right, that's why it is consistently a fan favorite and rated as one of the best rpgs to date and why copies sell for over a $100. This game was not only excellently crafted for it's time of release but I played it just today and still enjoy it. Critics are always stuck up over their opinions of media and ratings from them can seldom be trusted. If you look at the ratings given by people who play games for fun not a job then you can clearly see, this game is great.

  • @Judg3m3nt there's no reason to act so defensive about this. I said it was a good game. I just wouldn't call it "brilliant" because it has way too many flaws in it, and the story is just very predictable. The battle system is definitely worth playing the game for, and the graphics are very nicely done too.

And people who play games for fun will never have an opinion that is an indicator to play a game they like or dislike, simply because it isnt objective. State the good WITH the bad. Simple.

  • @michelrpg Story isn't that predictable. I didn't predict the fact you were going to kill Luca Blight in the middle of the game.

  • @TheWalrusface Well I didn't expect it so sudden, true. But I did expect the battle against jowy to take place at the end. The only real unexpected part of this game was the final battle. It seemed so... sudden? I felt the game was suddenly forced to reach an ending like that :<

  • @michelrpg Of course you expected the battle against Jowy at the end. Fuck did you think was going to happen? That's like saying you expected Cloud to fight Sephiroth at the end of Final Fantasy whatever. Just. Noooooooooooo really?

  • @TheWalrusface Ya rly

  • @michelrpg You actually didn't say it was "a good game" all you did was insult it using words like horrible and sub par. I don't know why you have these negative feelings towards it but they don't seem to stem from simple logic. The storyline? every game at that time was hashing out the same thing and unique and new stories have been rare since the sega. The battle system was a typical rpg one but it did it well, characters were well fleshed out and the artwork/music were well done.

  • characters were well fleshed out? We'll have to agree to disagree on that. While I admit, a few of the main characters (jowie, Nanami, Flik) have at least some degree of personality and history, a large part of the cast just joins because "fuck it, my life was boring anyway". Now with 118 stars its impossible to flesh them all out, but it wouldnt have killed the producers to give them at least a decent purpose. I have no negative feelings for this game, I just don't think it's THAT amazing

  • @michelrpg You obviously didn't do the side quests for most characters, use the detective to find out about them or play the other games where they reappear. The game gave plenty of depth to the characters, now obviously some of them got little more than the introductory info but with nearly a gross of characters they were in depth on over half and that is plenty. Most rpgs don't reveal as much about their main characters as Suikoden did about Clive, who isn't even a major character of the game.

  • @Judg3m3nt It takes ten minutes to gain 1 piece of info, with there being 5 pieces for each. 108 characters x 5 pieces of info = 540 pieces of info. 540 x 10 minutes = 5400 minutes, or 90 HOURS.

No game is worth spending 90 hours on for five tidbits of info. I said some characters had a good deal of personality and story, but half of them were just (useless) fodder.

I dont get why some of you are getting SO worked up. I said it's a decent rpg, just not fantastic. Nothing wrong with that.

  • @michelrpg I am getting worked up because you, one, obviously did not play all of the game and criticized it as lacking anyway and two you keep flip flopping your argument over whether you think it is a good game or not and people who can't stick with one opinion piss me off.

  • @Judg3m3nt Its not my fault you suffer from selective memory. I said it's an okay game, a decent game, with some good story, and some good characters, but that the music wasnt memorable and that there was a bit of an overload on random fodder characters thrown in. I played the entire game with all sidequests done and every possible character combination. My final opinion of the game is that it's an rpg worth playing, just -NOT THE BEST FUCKING RPG EVER-. You can take that and shove it.

  • @michelrpg Look who is "getting SO worked up" now. If you had done all of that then you should have had time for the detective. I never said it was the best either, rather, that you give it much less credit than it is due and if you were upset about the characters, maybe you should have watched the animated series or played the other games for them to elaborate (it IS a series after all) I will have to pass on the shoving, though I am flattered, I don't swing that way.

  • I've come to see it again. Each time this vid moves me.

  • Thanks a lot, i always lost the last meeting. Such a sad but great story :)

  • Hahaha, this quest is such a pain in places but I feel like something's missing now if I don't complete it every time I play the game. XD

...the ending to this quest was the only thing in the whole game that made me cry the first time I got it. T_T

  • if u get the scene in muse before the time limit (17 hours i think), u can get the ending of the quest

  • Suikoden II rocks!!!

    XoXo

  • Wow, that's so sad...

  • Forever your in my heart Suikoden 2...

  • man!clive is a best actor!!!ever!!

  • i have a questions, once you havent recieved the mail of elza in lakewest, like say,, 30 days?? can i stiull continue this quest??

  • If you get to Lakewest and the innkeeper says he held on to the letter for so long that he eventually threw it away, then you can't continue the quest.

  • I think if you really run, even though you lost a part of the quest you might still catch with it later, only without the subtle hints of where to go next.

  • I feel your pain...

  • same here ~.~

  • other name for moon and star is

    Morn and Stern

  • For some reason the names of the guns remembered me of the clowns in FF9.

  • clive,is one of my favorite charachters in Suikoden 2 :)

  • wow... this is so moving and touching...

    sigh*

    and i love suikoden too...

    this is great...

  • This is so sad. :<

  • i could never do this. thank god for youtube, thanks

  • respect for uploading this:) thanks

  • The side quest wasn't meant for first time players. But I don't see how you couldn't do it and get all 108 characters in under 20 unless you like to item hunt. I think I've gotten to Sajah in 12. But yeah, this was the best sidequest in S2, edging out Iron Chef just a bit because this was more touching.

  • i didn't make this part T_T basically i liked to spend lots of time so bye bye clive quest aw T_T hope to get to make it someday without losing time that's it lol

yeah in fact, impossibile to finish the game in 20 hours like there are lots of things to do and in 20 hours it would be like speedy gonzales instead of enjoying it.. at least they should choosen 30 hours or 35..

  • Thank you, now I've finally been able to see the end of Clive's quest (never could bring myself to rush through such a great game)

  • wait, so at the end of Suikoden 2, before the credits roll, what does it say about Clive?

  • It says he buries Elza, then... I forget what the other part was. Returning to Harmonia and the Guild, I think, but I might be confusing it with what it says if you DON'T do this side quest.

  • I believe he becomes the Guildmaster after the war.

Kelley was to become the guildmaster but since Storm chose Elza and she won the duel she became the guildmaster. She ran away and now that Clive has killed her he is the new leader.

Sad story. I never got to see it until now. Thanks. =)

  • but does it say anything different with this quest? i can't remember

  • thanks for uploading!! I've always wanted to see this!! dang! who can finish the game in 20 hours?

  • thanks for uploading this! I didn't even try doing Clive's quest because rushing doesn't suit my style of playing at all. At least now I got to watch it...

  • Thanks, I missed the last meeting

  • ahhh! it is so hard to got this event..

  • finally i see it thank you, peice number three in the howling voice puzzle

  • suikoden is the best game ever!

story lines that can touch hearts

  • I did all the other encounters, yet was never able to get this one. Is there a condition you need to meet?

  • There's a time limit, actually - you have to have gotten the previous encounters and then get to Sajah Village in under 20 hours. All the other encounters have pretty simple time requirements, if I remember right, but this area doesn't open up until you get to the last dungeon, so it's a bit complicated.

  • Couldn't you just use a gameshark that keeps your playtime at 0:00?

  • I don't know - I've never owned a gameshark, and I certainly wouldn't need to buy one for this - it's not that hard if you've already played through the game once or twice (or if, like some people I know, you're using an FAQ).

  • True, but I hate rushing through games. I like to fuck around with mini games and take my time.

  • ya let me ask ya did ya do all this in 1 shot?

i mean after ya get clive ya went through the mission ...right?

  • Poor Clive. :(

  • Nice. Thanks for uploading :).

  • i think clive shot here right

  • Thanks so much for putting this up. I haven't played Suikoden II in like five or six years and could never see Clive's quest cause I couldn't get Eliza's letter in time. Again, thanks so much for this.

  • thank u!
