  • good video, crappy music

  • Thanks, I'm very happy with the 3GS. As for the GTX 285, I haven't seen too much of a difference under OSX, but I'm hoping that its power will be unlocked when apps starts using OpenCL.

Under Windows however, it's excellent. Big performance increase in games and also in apps that use the GPU for video encoding.

  • Question: in terms of reliability, which is better? the 4870 HD or the GTX 285? For me, this is not an option as I have the 24 inch LED cinema display which cost me quite a bit. Is there a way to get some kind of adapter to convert MDP signal to DVI?

  • i can't comment on the 4870, but the 285 has been great for me so far

  • "My old 8800GT" Salute to that veteran :]

  • Is it me or the iPhone 3GS's frame speed is rather low?

  • wouldnt surprise me. man i just played some arma 2 on this card and it's amazing!

  • Here's a fact you ignored:

    FPS: GTX 285 > iPhone 3GS xD

  • haha i think that goes without saying. both are great electronics though

  • I can't wait to get this card but I'm waiting to see what are the connections will be on Apple's new 30 inch LED cinema display if it's going to be Mini- display-port will Apple or EVGA provide a DVI-D Dual Link to Mini Displayport adapter so that I can use this GPU on a LED Screen, until the new 30' inch comes out i'm holding off on this GPU but good choice and nice upgrade

  • thanks. as you can see i use a 24' samsung so i wasnt concerned about mini-DP. so far the card is great

  • look forward to see more Mac Pro vids from you later man
