I love this song! Since you have this album, do you by any chance have the song "If you Knew"? I would SO much love it if you had it and could post it! Please let me know!
You're not the only one turning this cut up to Max. What a great song. The harmonies. Felix' Hammond organ. Gene on guitar and Dino back there pounding away like a whirling dervish. This band helped define my youth. Any garage band today would do well to take notes from a band who knew how to get the most from music.
Robert Plant did a cover of this in Oct 1966 too, 2 years before joining Zep, when he was being "groomed" to be a British pop star. It was with a group called Listen
i feel so stupid-i didnt know pat covered this song. thanks to this post I KNOW NOW! awesome-he has a great voice and GREAT guitars !!! its great to discover new-old music in your 40's ! ive been SCHOOLED by that generation. LOL!
I just bought the original vinyl album a few days ago, and I am SO proud to own it!! This song is one of my favorites from it. And Groovin' of course.
I found out about this track through Madlib's Medicine Show Volume 6. The guy has helped me find out about so much great music, he's a god of good taste.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS ONE! You are my hero for the day( it's early Easter Sunday, so you're up there, right along with Jesus!).
@bass117 Yes all my uploads are 1st edition vinyl uploads unless otherwise stated, the pictures of the cover and label were taken by me, and yeah this is a monster tune :)
This is a GREAT recording.... in my opinion has a lot more soul than Pat Benatar's squealy version.

Great cut from a great album. This sounds like it is from the ALBUM as opposed to a CD - am I correct? Sounds deeper, fuller.
