  • rpg and fantasy gamees are the best!!

  • this song is really similar to the desert song from Infinite Undiscovery.

is this ost also by Motoi Sakuraba?

  • @dsasuke Yup.

  • 00-05 best games of all time

  • HOLY CRAP! This is awesome *_*

  • This track remind me of spyro..! i dont know why :S

  • bah duhr labyrinth

  • Comment removed

  • this game was addicting

  • porn music XD

  • Ugh... this game...

erm... how do i say this politely...

They went waaaaay the hell off the fantasy deep end with this one. I cant believe that i forced my self to even complete the story line. After i wound up in a village made of frosting I kinda lost all hope... meh.

Decent tunes though. Oh well, they cant all be all-stars.

  • this song gave me headaches, but i still kinda liked it. very memorable.

  • The twist in this game hit me like a ton of bricks, and still stands as the BEST twist in video game history for me. MOVE OVER BIOSHOCK!

  • does this tune remind anyone else of Ragnarok Online at all?......I dunno why....

  • I love the beginning. <3

  • My band played this at an outdoor show in the town's square, once. I had so much fun with that bass line.

  • KING K WUZ HERE 2011

  • That feeling at this song is amazing

  • @mmxbass Playing through Mira stoned, along with the final case in Phoenix Wright 3, are by far the best stoned gaming experiences I've ever had.

  • @Shadonara Imagine my surprise, as I link to this song as an example of awesome music to listen to when high, when I read you comment. I would, however, contend that while high is the BEST POSSIBLE TIME to play through Mira.

  • ya i'm going to replay this game :D

  • Final Fantasy's stories look like porn scripts compared to this fucking epic story.

  • @AristaBomb-One of the best comments I've ever heard.

  • I was never into this game but I did enjoy the music.

  • @Iam1984Terminator yeah, i feel totally the same way. Still prefered ff10 =)

  • I hated that tower. I swear I spent more time in that area than anywhere else. I kept screwing up with the puzzles.

I started out liking this music, then began to hate it. now that I've gone awhile without hearing it I'm okay with it again.

  • @shadowplay9

dude, do yourself a favor, get that game off of your shelf, put it in your GC/Wii and spend the next 5 days beating the game.

  • I still have this game, its collecting dust. I never beat it. Maybe one day

  • Those flaming skull heads scare the crap out of me.

  • @Zephryion Haha me too! XD

  • @Zephryion Oh I know!! Haha It's like-what?? You forgot my name? D: I used to fill it in for them in the cutscenes so there wasn't that akward pause haha

  • @Zephryion Yeah I did haha ^^ I think I'll buy another gamecube just to play it. That sounds like fun I'll deffinitely have to try it then. There's obviously a lot more to do in mmorpg's, but I liked the storyline and even the strange card fighting style in Baten Kaitos. The characters were different and the voices amused me :) Not gonna lie...I had a game crush on PaloloII HAHA! But yeah lotro is a lot like Wow I hear. I heard it's stealing a lot of wow's constumers because they switch to lotro

  • @Zephryion Really? I love those type of 'choose you're own adventure' type rpgs :) Baten Kaitos was my favorite rpg. I've never heard of Skies before, I'll have to check it out, thanks : D

I was playing FFXI and that was a great mmorpg, but it got costly with the pay per month, so now I'm playing lotro. It's the best free mmorpg I've found. :)

  • loovve this game!

  • isn't this song called "Castle in the Sand"

  • @TheTKC This is the Japanese name.

  • @Walliard Oh ok. How did they get "Castle in the Sand" from "House of Cards" 0.o

  • IM sooooooo glad i still have both games.

  • i miss this game it was so awesssoooooommmmeeee!

  • I wonder if there is a way to find The Great Mizuti's song...it was so creepy X ) I liked it

  • I never played Skies of Arcadia, but I absolutley loved Baten Kaitos and Tales of Symphonia : ) Guess I'm out to buy Skies of Arcadia : D

  • For some reason, this reminds me of Rayman 2...

And that's definitely a good thing.

  • Kalas, the other one winged angel ;O

  • My spidey senses are tingling......why do I recongize this theme?

  • To me this is nightmare fuel, but EPIC nightmare fuel.

  • baten kaitos... when i've heard some musics of this game i want to play it NOW !! :D

  • hey guys- if you thought the games graphics were beautiful on GC. just think of how beast they could be on the wii.

  • when i first heard this, i knew id never heard nothing like it before and probably would never hear anything as grandiose and crisp ever again, so like most find myself coming back to it, ever so often.

  • you've actually played all of these games? probably about half of these I haven't even heard of....impressive.

  • Pourquoi une image française ? ("les ailes éternelles et l'océan perdu")

  • This is a great song, but it's actually named "Castle in the Sand", a much more fitting title if you ask me.

  • I wanted to see Mira in BK:O. Doesn't matter, both games are a beast of their own. They have to continue the series on the Wii of course.

  • I sooo friggin hope they do

  • I tried playing this game, but when the party came across a log and had to turn around because it was blocking their way my suspension of disbelief was shattered. The characters have freaking WINGS. Can't they just hop over the log?

  • If I had wings, I wouldn't want to try using them in an overgrown forest full of monsters, what would happen if they snagged on something?

Besides, carrying a bonfire around in your pocket to burn down the log was pretty cool too.

  • when hearin this great melody its hard to just listen once, i find myself wanting to always hear it a second time around because its that damn good.

  • Mira...such a beautiful world....this is the ONLY gamecube game I saved...I keep it with all my PC and 360 games and people are like "Why do you have this game in here?" and I say "Because its not a game, its a story, and a masterpiece at that" Thank you Tri-Crescendo for one of the most beautiful games I've ever played.

  • Beautifully said, my friend.

  • 0_o *starts slow clap*

  • This music is one of my favourite :D

  • Like a weird, trance-like funk town version of Tristram.

  • this song kept me company in that tower with the frustrating puzzle. i consider this game a gem, and imo it had that sense of "fantasy" that you would see in chrono cross. love the bassline btw

  • I loved hearing this theme while playing this game. Yay Duhr!!!

  • ...Isnt this Supose to be Castle Hidden in the Sand?

  • Man, Motoi Sakuraba is a great componist!

  • damn right i agree. pure excellence... music that really captures the moment and plateau.

  • For those of you who have yet to play this wonderful game but plan to, I have two pieces of advice: 1. Do NOT be high on crack when you reach Mira, and 2. Do NOT let anybody spoil you the nigh impossible to predict plot twist.

  • Got it, I'll be sure to lay off the drugs when I am playing, and I won't research spoilers.

  • B-but I predicted 3/4 of it... and I seriously entertained the possibility of the other 1/4! D:

  • unfortunately the same goes for me, lolkalas was something that kept popping into my mind.

  • Yeah, just like that. lolkalas. And then it turned into "wtfKalas" and "Kalasdamnyouneedtherapy."

  • @Shadonara indeed, wise words, lol

  • @Shadonara Psshhhh I totally had to get someone to explain it to me cause I REALLY didn't know what happened in the end.

  • @Shadonara Better plot twists than ANY M. Night Shaymalan Film. XD

  • @Shadonara one of my favorite plot twists in all of gaming. I truly didnt see it coming. One of these days i have to replay this and origins...

  • @Shadonara i love the card system, love the artwork (even if it does seem like a ps1 game done on the gamecube) but god is the voice acting terrible.

  • Is this the music that plays when you're in that freaky mirror place with the rainbow spider monsters?

    Yeah, so trippy XD

  • I thought this was the part in space, but it could also have been the house of mirror's now I think of it.

  • I got the prequel a while ago and I still have to beat it! >:O

  • why do people say this is annoying to hear for a long time? I always though this song was awesome, and set you in a mood without stressing you out.

  • Very mysterious music.

  • Acid-trippy music for the Acid-trippiest place in the game.

  • is taht song not called castel in sand ?

  • not sure if anybody still checks this out. but i love the bass riff, does anybody know the tabs for it?

  • I LOVE this game and even though I have completed it several hundred times I still play it once in a while

  • loved this game! wish i had it still...

  • I seriously am regretting selling my GameCube now.

  • Second best RPG on Gamecube.

And nothing can come close to Tales of Symphonia, so it's moot to vie for first place.

  • Gamecube had hardly any RPGs, but the few it got were very special. Skies of Arcadia, Baten Kaitos and Tales of Symphonia were all awesome games, the PS2 had a lot of RPG slurry along with its gems, I must admit.

  • Skies of Arcadia is one of my three favorite RPGs, along with Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6. I might like Skies a bit more than the other two, though... Such an awesome game.

  • @CinnabonChan Fire Emblem is also a strong RPG on the GCN, and Star Ocean I think there´s one on it, as well as Phantasy Star Online. And they all are freaking great, which I respect, for there´s no way anyone´d buy a bad RPG on GCN ^^

  • @EXHellfire There's no Star Ocean game on GC actually.

  • Agree with the first part, except I say 1st best.

Strongly disagree with the second part, though. ToS was amazing, but was child's play compared to BK.

  • This song is good to listen to for a minute or so, but any longer and your head starts to feel trippy...

  • This song is the best part of this game... and it wasn't a bad game.

  • nice!!

  • This game is awesome but this song is annoying when you pause and hear it for like 30 minutes. Lol, i drove my mom crazy with it.

    5/5

  • I'm replaying BK and I'm on my way to Mira.

Ah Mira. There will never be another country like Mira in any game. House of Cards is a better title for this track if you ask me, since Mira does have a very Alice in Wonderland feel to it, ya?

  • Does the start of the song remind anyone else of Deus Ex?

  • Hey, soes anyeone know what this track is called in-game in the english version? I can't remember if it's House of cards or Castle in the sand.

  • My version says castle in the sand, but there may be two version of this. I can't remember.

  • I'm assuming that's the US version. Thanks!

  • oh man! i wanna replay bk now so bad... its better to play this one first, then origins, cause if you do youll be playing origins and be like "hehehe... i know all about you mister, but they don't, hehee"

  • Sakuraba, right? This reminds me so much of Hirota's Shadow Hearts. :D

  • I played this game. this song is pretty good...

Lyude is the best character in the game. ^.^

  • man. this game actually has a very very good cast of characters... I mean only the main character Kalas is interesting as hell, and savyna..don't even get me started. and xelha is one of the most underrated heroines of all time..

  • Yeah, they are very interesting. But Xelha.... well, I don't like her very much, but that's mainly 'cause she'd annoying as heck to have to listen to in battle. XD

  • yeah...its because of her tedious dubvoice....

  • not just that, i hate her too

  • Seconded.

  • haha my brother thought this song was really creepy

  • Creepy? No. Pipedream-ish? maybe.

  • Loved this games. Both, yes. And still hoping Namco will do a third chapter...

but yeah, this track is called "Many-storied Buildings of Sand" ^_^

  • I think the point is just it's a building that could collapse. Sand, cards, what's the dif?

  • No dude BK was great. Both of 'em. They were lengthy and had fantastic comment. The story was excellent despite some weak voice acting which is why some people didn't like the game.

  • Isn't this called "Many-storied Buildings of Sand?"

  • At first I didn't like this game when I played it, but now it's stuck in my memory as one of my dearest games played...

  • game music can do that to you.

  • It also felt nice getting a "good-bye" from the characters at the end :)

  • Yeah that was kinda funny.

  • best best game gc is such adam good system alot of good games

  • Great song great game my fave gamecube rgo game..

  • You can find it at Galbadia Hotel

  • love this song

  • i looked for this song for a LOOOOONG time!!!!

    I LOVE IT !!!!
