The 08 WRX has the exact same internal as the 08 STI except the intercooler and smaller boost (in Australia at least). Comes to show how much potential the 08 rexie has. And it costs AU$20K less.

No. Nothing to do with driving. It's about the WRX just being faster than the stock STI after the mods. Think carefuly, the WRX stock has 169kw and 320nm of torque VS 221KW and 407nm of torque. Yup undoubtably it's a lot but the rexie has the exact same internals as the STI other than less boost, diferent intercooler, smaller brakes... The WRX can easily get to STI performance and better. Not saying that STI aint great, don't get me wrong... But just think about :P

The new 08 STI is a joke. I am so glad that I purchased 07 STI. The only thing the new STI offers is the ability to load stuff in it and that is it. To think the New 08 cost like 2 grand if not more is insane. Subaru is going down hill!

and the stock 07 sti put down in the mid 240's in whp and close to 280tq..So due to the weight differance that would be somewhat of a close race..

dumbass a stage 2 wrx is quicker than a stock STI. The power numbers may fall short but the WRX is lighter and has one less gear. This video makes no sense though, it cant be stock or something is wrong.

Yea I'm almost positive also that a stage 2 wrx couldnt beat a stock sti. the Stock sti does 13.3-high 12's sometimes 1/4. The wrx does like a 13.9-14 flat. 04 sti did 5-60 in 5.84-low 6's and 5-60 on 07 wrx was about 6.8. Stage 2 isn't going to make you .7 better in the 1/4 and its not ganna get u a second faster 5-60. That makes absolutely not sense, with no tune. So ur not even running cobb ap? Yea that race was def. bullshit. lol

lol are u kidding? The 08 wrx should be in no way a beast over the 06/07 wrx. There was no major engine improvement or anything. The only major differnece is that power delivery is a lot more linear and smooth, but the amount of power and displacement is still the same.

I need not do research. I own an 06 and I've test driven the 08's. Doesnt feel very different to me, maybe only slightly in mid-range pulls but thats about it. And I've test driven 07 STi's. Its funny how you call it 'basic bolt-on's'. Are you even Stage II?
