An alternative (and copyright free way) of steps 1 and 2, is to get a black wall and make some smoke and film/take your own photos of it! I dislike downloading stuff off of media sharing websites so this is the way I did it, turned out well...

5) Inverse the colours (Ctrl+I/Cmd+I.. that is an i, not an L) so you get a white background with a creamy orange smoke.

6) On the top toolbar, click Edit, then click, Define Brush Preset...

7) Type the name you wish to give the Brush.

8) Lastly, go on to your Photoshop file that you have made the Hue gradient and black background in (What the tutorial above is all about...) Then right at the bottom of all of your brushes should be your brush that you just made. Your welcome!

All this talk of how to get the smoke effects is driving me crazy! You know, you can just create your own, right...

1) Go on google and search for "Smoke".

2) Copy the image that you want for your brush. (It must be a grey smoke with a black background)

3) Make a new Photoshop document, it should default the size as the size of the image you copied.

4) Paste (Ctrl+V/Cmd+V) the image into Photoshop.

You can do this exact same thing by applying Gradient Overlay under Blending Options of the layer you are brushing on. No hassle with that black layer over there.

@MW3SniperFeedOTD You already started! There's one thing you should really remember; you learn while making/creating images or projects in Photoshop. If you copy something from a tutorial, almost all the tools you used, will expand your knowledge. Once you know some tools, and followed some nice tutorials, you will create your own style and start making your own things. Things that you like. You will definately understand me in a couple of months. Good luck :)
