  • Oh my god, I love this film.

  • for me one of the best scenes in movie history...golden glitter killer groove!

i had chosen other songs though like "aquarian dream - you're star" or "billy woost - please touch me" but still great*****

  • LOVE THIS! They can MOVE ! :)

  • and grow, and grow and grow

  • This video is made of sex.

  • And fucking crap titanic "movie" won best fucking picture?

Critics have "L.A. Confidential", "Boogie Nights" and "Starship Troopers as the greatest 1000 movies EVER made and they don't have fucking shit "movie" titanic anywhere on the list.

  • Machine gun by the commodores

  • Wats the name of this song they dancing to?

  • Damn, that club was poppin! Love it.

  • Only John C. Reilly can act like a dork on a crowded dance floor and get away with it. LOL!

  • Mark Wahlberg has got the moves, baby!

  • I love it he's a porn star and all the girls dig him then

  • didn't know John C. Reilly could move like dat

  • disco, baby! .. when the "point to the Lord" and the "Caucasian Clap" were hip dance moves...

  • Lol I love watching Reed Rothchild do kung fu in the background!

  • Man I miss the 70's.... the most fun of any generation. I'd live it all over again if I could.

  • why do pple hate disco - from that it seems like great fun.

  • WOW ONE OF MY FAVOURITES:)

  • was that adam mcckay?

  • Kudos to Heather Grahm for keeping up on while being on roller skates.

  • this flick inspired me to do porn

  • hell, why did you pitch this scene up? sound runs way too fast...

  • @akayplayer no it doesn't

  • @quentin3332 > watch?v=LJsWwjIit3k&feature=related

  • @akayplayer I didn't speed it up. I guess it's faster because it's taken from a Pal and not from a NTSC Dvd?

  • @quentin3332 possible. i know the song though, its not playing as fast. anyway, no offense.

  • @akayplayer It sounds awesome.. go fuck yourself.

    Best dance of all time.

  • @akayplayer I'm not sure if you've seen the movie or not, but that's pretty much what it sounds like. Granted, the original IS a little slower and sounds better, but I like this version for the movie.

  • @akayplayer They always speed up songs through movies

  • what a hot scene! :)

  • he's no john travolta

  • @jrjr143 no Wahlberg was no Travolta his character he was not supposed to be the best dancer in the neighborhood. But I'd bet Dirk had Manero beat in other departments.

  • This was not Wahlberg's first film

  • he dances like he has a massive schlong

  • PTA is GOD, this movie is a classic

  • good music/dance, good times.

  • The MOST under rated film of the last 20 years. Had I known before I went to see it that Mark Wahlberg was Marky Mark, I never would have gone. After seeing his performance, I believe that he delivered the best first time acting performance that I've ever seen in my lifetime.

  • @rogerrodd This wasn't his first film. Mark Wahlberg was in five movies prior to Boogie Nights.

  • @LAWoman323213 Must not have been lead roles in major films, although it is possible that I slept through that phase of his acting career.

  • What´s the name of the girl dancing with Mark Walhberg??(The black dress girl)

  • @TheSutil: That would be Julianne Moore dancing with him :)

By the way, this scene is fucking EPIC!! Incredeible coordination between everyone. Mark Wahlberg dances very well, and this makes me want to go back in time to this kinda 70s disco :)

  • irish and proud@0:30

  • very authentic feel of the 70s

  • The djay grooving in the background LoL

  • @TheDirteeSanchez haha yea that's the best part

  • The entire film is uploaded onto my account.

  • alot of people say I look like Han Solo

  • Comment removed

  • YA YA YA!

  • great scene totally 70's

  • "Chest Rockwell" That's a heck of a name.

  • he can teach me dancing moves anytime of the day! damn he is fine!

  • ahhh! life of a pornstar. Best job in the fn world.

  • @frankconjr You said it, Im still trying to get into the biz.

  • @knightjedi666 Lots of luck (Jizz Bizz) LOL

  • Even though the dance moves are cheesy disco, you can tell Mark Wahlberg is a really great dancer. ;)

  • @CelinaQ Dude I'd kill to be able to dance like that.

  • @mrbrockpeters I know, right? It's awesome!

  • Que pena no estar en los 70 para haber podido salir de fiesta asi. Tuvo que haber sido un descojono.

  • LOL!!! I totally forgot that John C Reilly was in this movie! xD

  • reed rules

  • what is the name of the song

  • @m4rx12 boogie nights

  • Machine Gun by the Commodores

  • one of the best films of the 90's

  • fuckin livin the DREEEAAAAAM

  • Whats that song man this is hot

  • Machine gun by The Commodores.

  • Thanks

  • very 70s!

    love it!

  • I LOVE!!!!

    this the heaven!!

  • I want this to go ON AN ON___ I mean SO well Choregraped--So Friggin REALLLLL

  • Yes it is!!!!

  • This scene really is authentic-looking. In the mid-70s, you could easily go into any disco or high school dance and see roomfuls of people moving in unison doing the Hustle or the Bus Stop like that. An amusement park near us used to have teen nights and in the mid-70s they'd set up an outdoor disco pavilion where you could see hundreds of teenagers with winged hair moving just like this under a disco ball.

  • Would you say Michael in the late '70s was the pinnacle performer of this kind of dance?

  • No. If you're referring to Michael Jackson, I don't ever recall seeing him doing the Hustle or the Bus Stop or any of the other standard disco dances that everyone did in the late 70s. He had his own stage performer's style that bore little resemblance to the popular dances of the time.

  • Watch THIS listening to:

Vin Zee " Funky Bebop "

  • This clip shows how talented Wahlberg and Anderson really are.

  • marky is great. i wish he would do more.

  • I wish I was him

    lol.

  • that's Julianne Moore dancing w/ him

  • GREAT!!!!!!

  • LOL! GoBackToSchoolDummy... what an idiot...

  • MM sure is the shit ;-)

  • thats so funny

  • marky mark sure can dance :))

  • So cheesy!

  • john c. reilly and heather graham was just as fun being in the movie as mark... especially burt reynolds, the role seemed perfect for him. the characters in the movie are awesome! i love it! =D

  • One of my favorite scenes of this great movie...man he lot his inner soul flow with this routine, lol. The smooth moves with Rollergirl are classic and the end with the ladies on the floor and the absolutely ridiculous but oh so cool "drying his hair" move...hahahah lol! I've been prone to bust that out on the floor for time to time...when I've had about 30 beers...yeah!!!!

  • You actually used to see people doing that "drying his hair" move back in the 70s, but I don't think we had a name for it.

  • I love the entire scene. I learned his moves step by step, I just had to....I was inspired by my mom who knew n lived the scene in the 70's. I was watching this video years ago and she heard Commodores Machine Gun...came into the living room and literally mirrored the entire dance sequence while never seeing Boogie Nights! I was amazed at her dance skills having never seen them before and I had her show dance from the best era in music. Thankscolibri1..."hummingbird", am I right?

  • Right, it means hummingbird. That's funny about your mom. I could probably do the same thing, especially to The Fatback Band's "Do the Bus Stop" from 1975. We were taught to do the Hustle in the mid-70s in 5th grade PE class, out on the blacktop with a portable record player.

  • I swear to you this movie is BRANDED onto my Brain like a hite hot branding IRON>> I adore this... I know I want to go an really do this in a club.. This scene could go on forever...

  • Me too...I watch it over and over...I study all the moves and even watch the b/g people...lol. YES...ripped out of my mind, I did do it in a club one time...I even did the "drying my afro" move Dirk does towards the end...I brought the house down...lol...Ill never do it again...but it was fun.

  • @pekoe

Me TOO!!! When i was younger people used to really dance in clubs, but not like this. i wanna go somewhere where I can seriously break out into a "line dance", lol!!!

  • what a fantastic story about yr mom knightjedi666 !

  • @knightjedi666 No offense dude but your mom sounds like she knew how to party if you know what I mean! That's actually pretty cool! Thumbs up for you!

  • @mrbrockpeters Its all good yo, I wish I could bust those moves out like she can....lol. Its a trip to hear all about the good old days.

  • @knightjedi666 You're mom probably experienced the real boogie nights back than. And I ain't just talking about dancing.

  • thats back in the day when you didn't have to worry about gettin stabbed up, while in the club. And this ain't no real 70's club, lame ass bland dancing, as expected.

  • listen to

Dexter Wansel - I'll Never Forget

    watching this ^^

  • very 70s!

  • I love the dancing in this, they are amazing the way they are all so coordinated! It's really cute.

  • Would the club actually allow roller skates on the floor like that?Just wondering.

  • as far as i know of in the 70s they did..but you can always look it up!

  • Most likely huh. That was a fad back then,so I guess they would have allowed it.

  • no worries dude!

  • very 70s!

  • ESTO ES EL PARAISO, HEAVEN IS A DISCO

  • who is the artist and title of that song

  • Commodores - Machine Gun

  • esto es vida, esto es disco

  • I think Mark Wahlberg should have won an oscar for that performance, what an amazing movie

  • I agree, 100%

  • Burt Reynolds did get an oscar nom for this, i think he should have won as well, this scenes is amazing, PTA is the man!

  • yeah Burt won the globe for this, but didn't get the Oscar, though he was nominted, he lost to Robin Williams (Good Will Hunting). I don't know, that was such a tight race, it was Robin's 4th Oscar nod and he hadn't won, both performances steller...

  • Agree. This was one of the best movies put out in recent years.

  • como se llama esa cancion?!!

  • Machine Gun - The Commodores

  • FUNKY !!!!

    FABULOUS !!!!

  • Hey 420, like your handle says : Puff Down and Chill to some smooth grooves.

Or like I do, Puff Down IN the 911 Carrera Cabriolet, drop the top, hit the road w/PHAT PHUNK and shift into 4th gear when you hit 110 MPH or so.

    Works every time!!!

    LIFE IS GOOD

    R.I.P. James Brown

  • You're living in the past Ferris Bueller.

  • Not so lucky as Ferris, to be driving that sweet GT Cali Ferarri ( the last one sold went for over 12 million dollars ) but thanks for the reply, albeit quite the non sequitur.

  • Boogie Nights is the best P.T. Anderson's film. I think it didn't win the Golden Bear at the Berlin Festival simply because it's about porn. So the jury decided to redress the balance by simply awarding P.T.A. that prize for Magnolia.

  • holy shit that could of been me on the dance floor love the clothes, had a closet full of them.

  • Great tune by the Commodores ... v v funky!!

true tho ... Tony from Saturday night fever would have nailed it! hahaha

  • Not as good as the Tony Manaro in Saturday night fever

  • "Machine Gun" by the Commodores, 1974, what a great song! Soul Train still had soul and Lionel Richie still had an afro.

  • LOL, ya gotta watch Reed in the background. His dancing is too funny. Not to mention that scene of him dancing in the sound booth. Hysterical.

  • i Know lol God i Just Fucken Love Love Love Absolutely Just Fucken Love John C. Reilly

  • But i Mean Yu Know Come On Who Doesn't? lol

  • I think is my favourite part of the film. This is how it's done. Keep that funky music playing .. and it will never die. . it will be here long generation Y's music has died out.

  • I actually think Jesus dug the disco era.

    He had the hair.

  • Just after this scene in the movie there's the fabulous song Magnet & Steel.

  • I REALLY LIKe THE MUSIC....WHAT IS IT???!?

CALLED...i mean what is it called

  • i love you dirk!!!!!!

  • This scene shows why I automatically have always recoiled from the "disco sucks" people. Anyone who would hate something so fun and positive has to be sick. And funny, I've never hear disco lovers say "rock sucks" or smashing albums. Gravitate to the love, baby!

  • PT Anderson gets it right in this scene! Groovy

  • Ok--People thisis THE definative Movie every nuance of the essence is here.. I mean feel it for real!!!

  • John C. Reilly miscast as a porn star? Have you actually seen any 1970s/early 80s porn?

  • I love the fact that the entire cast is dancing in this scene... even Luiz Guzman!

  • I disagree, he was perfect.

  • i love this scene as well!!!!!love this movie too!
