Is this the "Vox Custom Classic AC30CC2X 30w 2x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp with Alnico Blues"? How much did you pay for yours?

I'm thinking of getting the new c2 but it had clestion greenbacks and i think i should go for the alnico blue

Great demo. The only other aspect I'd like you to have shown is clean headroom; how the master and volume knobs interact.

overpriced junk, such a waste of an amp you can't play it quietly and my mum shouts... never buy this it's crap for anything it has no kick. It's flimsy too i managed to break it while doing a trick onstage. just go for a peavey the tone is deeper and more rounded but with an edge, like a samurai sword my little brother says.

Hey man just wanted to ask...when you are on bedroom level with the master volume is there a big volume difference between cranked top boost and low gain normal channel??? hope you get it ;-)

hey, my new ac30 cc1 arrived today

have a question about the tremolo effect

when i turn mine on with the pedal you can hear a mechanical noise that sounds almost like a helicopter sound, even when im not playing anything

is this normal?

Hi ben, i tried mine out just now.. with the depth up full whack you can definately hear a whooshing rotating kinda sound. it's just adding tremelo to the hum in the background. Hope you enjoy your new amp!

so to get the gain you have to crank the volume?

With the master volume knob on the far right, you can adjust the volume regardless of the gain setting on either channel. Although it will sound much better with the volume cranked too!

The overdrive is good, but really only for rhythm sounds which it rocks at. This amp won't go to insane distortion (mesa boogie/marshalls) but more of a blues style break up. I've had great fun sticking various pedals infront of the amp. Fulltone fulldrive has got the best sounds so far, really pushes the tubes into a great overdrive!

Hi, the cc1 has one vox designed 12inch speaker in. And the cc2 has either two celestion speakers or the more expensive "alcino blue" speakers.. Other than that they are all exactly the same in terms of the circuitry etc. Thanks for looking

is the ac30cc1 made in the uk? because i heard someone say that the newer ac30cc2's are made in china or japan. and isnt there a plain ac30, not a custom classic?

No worries, the ac30 have changed hands from who's been manufacturing them over the years, from korg to someone else which meant they arn't made in the uk anymore i believe.. Not too sure but if you wikipedia it then i'm sure you can find out the details! there are different models of the ac30 heritage etc. but custom classic is the most common!

im pretty sure the entire custom classic series is made in china. actually i think all new vox's are, except perhaps the reissue versions or something

No! The CC2 has Vox speakers, the CC2X has the blues.

Cheers! That's exactly how i use it, the AB box has two leads running into the amp one into Top Boost and the other Normal. The box acts as a more fussy channel switcher!

Nice demo, I was just wondering lets say you put the normal channel at a nice clean tone and you put the top boost channel at a crunchy overdriven tone can you use that AB box you have there to quickly switch between the two tones?

The AB box can switch between the Normal and the Top boost channel. I'm not sure about the switch between the blended and normal i'll have a go and get back to you.
