Capture cards and soft ware both take up alot of memory, so leave him alone. Not every one can afford a good graphics card but luckily I have a nvidia gtx 260ocx so give him a break.

wow ok it depends cuz if u run a game on 720 on a 32 inch lcd the graphics look awesome but ofcourse if u got a big tv then its recomended to use 1080p since the picture as to expands alot and needs higher quality to make it look good but idk like i said b4 720p looks just fine on a SMALL tv 32 inch max(u dont need 1080p on it)
