Hey after viewing the vid a second time...I can't see a problem at all, lol...the machine does what it has to with a passion, gets the job done and as it is said nowadays, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" lol...keep up the good work.
Wow, beautiful machine...a little rough on the slides but the resuling work piece gives it a lot of credit, hope you'll share more project videos, nice very, very, nice.
The slides are noisier than ball screws because they are a planetary screw design. More rigid than ball screws but a little noisy, especially now that these are 23 years old. I am looking at replacing them with ball screws but they have almost zero backlash so its hard to justify.
Can you provide cost and timing to Waterloo,Ontario Canada?

the tool changing is too slow when it rapids so far back, this must be the tc position i guess which is already set in the programme?
