I've got a question. Could you please tell me if it's possible in any way to edit a video adding effects and trasitions only through maya? Is it made for that? I've heard many people saying that used sony vegas and maya for some special effects to make some animated music videos. I'd be most appreciated for your answer. Thanks!

Thanks for asking a question and giving me so honor. Maya is not especial for effects but if you want to make a music album with 3d effects like flying 3d objects or anything else like that you may use maya Live. Maya Live is a little answer of your question.
