  • Yup, ducking salutes, not okay in The Marine Corps.

  • My brother is in the Corp with me and hes a Capt. and im a Sgt so I try to avoid him especially were stationed together and he told me and i quote "i will find you and you will salute me wether you like it or not"

  • @jfman22345 Why would you want to be an enlisted? Being an officer is much more relaxing.

  • that old black car looks like one here on mcas yuma

  • PARKAY!!

  • As a Mustang, I love it.

  • the reason is they dont want to have officers pay them attention or get f'ed up if 5,000 officers walk by who wants to stnd there and salute for 1 hour straight?

  • I laughed so damn hard wow that was great

  • Funny as hell and definitely true. Awesome.

  • Very Funny! You should have done one about avoiding colors.

  • ha i do alot of things to avoid saluting or giving the proper greeting of the day. sometimes i would just pretend to start coughing alot when i'm coming by a higher rank person or officer.

  • lol

  • I don't know why you guys are bitching. Officers have to salute enlisted and officers...

  • Wow love the dogtag in his boot like hes some salty combat vet LOL fucking joke.Just cross the street fuck saluting and women ha ha forget if they say something just walk away from the bitch.

  • LOL, speaking for the airforce, it's mainly the officers who do the avoiding (at least what I've seen). Countless times they'll stay inside the DFAC for an extra minute as a group of airman walk by. Can't blame em I guess...

  • nice video. People actually do dodge/avoid salutes. It's strange

  • Why is saluting a female officer such a bad thing on this video ? Are they bitches about it or something ?

  • I loved this game,,,try to avoid the brass and never salute a female

  • I'm not in the military, though I soon will be, BUT THIS IS FREAKIN' HILARIOUS.

  • One Question... Why Was He Wearing A Cover In The Car?

  • @xXL1LR3YXx because you are suppose to wear it in a vehicle. I never did though, that's stupid. Marine Corps order says if there is insufficient room between headgear and headliner and it poses a safety hazard you can remove it. Mainly motards wear it in their vehicles.

  • When I was stationed in pendleton they had a channel that showed a bunh of these marine things. this is just silly

  • @surihtanil

is not their fault that they can't do much in combat. since you know the order comes down from the chain of command. Also everybody has a chip on their shoulder. ask yourself which Marine/Soldier didn't had a chip on their shoulder. Also to the other guy that said if i was ever a soldier..nope but was on the ROTC and i would never disrespect the uniform or the rank regardless of the gender.

  • What used to crack me up was when marines woud run in the barracks at dawn when a little tune would start playing....lol.

  • @ccperkins21 still do it today lol goddamn colors. and for some reason its extra slowed down on this base compared to the last base i came from.

  • thta was retarted but in a good retarted way very funny thumbs up

  • @SemerFi92 What is this magic? YOU LIE!

  • hahaa this shit is funny haha i remeber that like oh shit there is an officer or waiting inside before colors was on or else you trapped outside in POA

  • Fuck! You ended up saluting a bootenant!

  • I didn't salute a 1st Lt once, he didn't say anything though, it was wierd.

  • @StillSuperior A lot just don't care

  • I don't get y some guys don't think women don't belong in the marine corps. I was the top of my class ran the fastest had the highest grade in NROTC and finished the O-course faster than anyone including the guys....hmmm...lol

  • @Nicolethompson92

The situation is fine as it is. As long as womens are kept out of combat specific jobs, its all good. Most female marines seem to be in admin and supply.

Which works out because being secretary's and fetching shit should come natural to them.

  • @shorttimer09 well I'm a fighter pilot so I guess what comes natural to some doesn't to other women. of course you'll have you strong ones and you'll have your ones that are good for nothing but puching holes in paper. i feel ya tho stick a paper puncher in fire fight..not good

  • @shorttimer09- Yeah, I'll agree with that.

  • HAHAHA

  • rolled sleeves on woodlands?

  • fuckin love it

  • lol thats pretty funny cuz alot of marines will go out of their way not to salute

  • ha whats funny about that commercial is the fact that most officers actually go out of their way to avoid the whole saluting issue...whereas I would go out of my way to make them return my salute lol

  • I remember this lame ass commercial, lol that was ages ago

  • pog

  • 4 years of college and some weak schools is suppose to earn my respect?

  • lol

  • ill support em as soon as the weight of the ribbons on their chest outweighs mine

  • @shorttimero9 that is good shit right there i think your my new hero haha i wish i could have done that i cant count how many times i jumped in a bush to not salute

  • I always remember to salute, the only time I don't is when both my hands are full, or I can't see if they're an officer or not because in the Canadian Forces it's hard to read the rank when the slip on Epalite is in the middle of their chest and it's CADPAT too.

  • Good vid, it's ridiculous when joes officer dodge, but you really only see that out of boots.

  • lol

  • haha so pointless its funny

  • Used to salute in the Australian Army. Trying to give it up though, filthy habit.

  • loollll that was funnyyy hahhh :)

  • twinkle twinkle little star. who's that boot with a butter bar

  • Hahaha, this is hilarious. Nice video. I know this used to be a large problem with cadets in NJROTC in high school for me, but in the military I didn't know it was such a problem. I love saluting, I deliberately cross paths with officers just so I can do it. :P

  • DUDE just salute, its not that big a deal.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • haha, last time when i was at a base, there was only a few officers and a whole lot of enlisted, as soon as the officers saw us, they js turned around n pretended they didnt see us haha

  • Lol...the worse part is at ocs...good morning sta...gunner....first...ahhh sh*t too late!!!!

  • or the hot chow logistics marine who insists on being called Lcpl.

  • @webb800 haha

was he the black one that was bigger? always there for hot chow pickup? I forgot his last name.

  • Here's a suggestion. Why don't you get the words "FUCK YOU" tattooed on the side of your hand that faces outwards when you salute. So instead of giving an officer a salute, you can give him a hoot!!

  • I met an African American Air Force officer stationed out at Vandenberg She was damn hot!

Acquisitions goal was to become a pilot and then NASA....

Yes most officers will dodge the enlisted, officers have to salute back to enlisted and have to Salute other officers!! Enlisted only have to salute Officers not other enlisted.

  • ...unless they are on duty and giving a report on firewatch...which sucks because at training we had to do it a million times

  • Thanks information is always welcome!!

  • or if your in Korea and they force you to salute the ROK SNCOs.....gay

  • I made it 4 years without saluting a female officer, pretty much my proudest accomplishment in the marine corps.

  • are female officers that nasty?

  • nah its just a pride thing, theres nothing a female officer could have done in her career to have rated any kind of humility from me

  • Comment removed

  • join combat arms(infantry, artillary, tanks, combat engineers, trackers) and youll never have to worry about it, youll likely be stationed at a camp with no chicks, the only bitch officers youll have to dodge are the ones at the mainside when you get your taxes done and shit

  • lol, I am going to OCS as to be an officer, more than likely I will have my own battery

  • @Shaqpack609 more than likely you will need your own batteries(plural), for the dildo in your ass.

  • Little high on yourself already, aren't you?

  • @shorttimer09

so your saying that females in the military are useless? What you think we should be in the kitchen?

  • @Marynicole830 Yes?

  • @shorttimer09 sounds to me like you like to disrespect that rank that woman earn.. regardless of who wears the uniform.. respect the rank not the man/woman behind it

  • @Eddy120876

Sounds to me like you're either a civilian or a pogue(Same thing)

  • @Eddy120876 Wrong... I still feel woman have little place in the military. I will salute higher ranked officers which are females because its my duty. However nothing erks me more than to salute a female that has done nothing to earn it. What really erks me and over half the female officers have a chip on there shoulder, and expect you to salute them.

You come back from a tour in Afghanistan to find a high strung female who has sat on base for the past 5 years doing little to nothing...

  • The men do he fighting and the dying... The woman observe and complain. A few butches want to fight, but in all truth its the men who're spilling blood, and getting things done in time of war.

  • @shorttimer09 lemme guess, your an 03? lol typical grunt. yeah, it's hard having respect for people when they complain about shit that you can't even touch on deployment. Like AC, chow halls, hot food, cold water, a big ass mwr, fuckin showers. i hear ya man. lol

  • @shorttimer09 I salute you for your glorious victory. I once got my ass chewed by this stupid female SSGT because I didnt give her the proper greeting of the day. I would go out of my way to avoid females at all costs. Fuck them all and their worthless service.

  • @cwood4ever

so you think women shouldn't be in the military?

  • @Marynicole830 No, I dont think they should be in the USMC they have no place among warriors. They have the Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard for woman wanting to take up room and resources.

  • @cwood4ever

women can be warriors if the government would let them. they have been throughout history.

  • @Marynicole830 wrong your comment is uneducated at best. No army has ever successfully used females in any major combat role. Dont believe me look it up all the way back to Greece.

  • @cwood4ever

yes, there were groups of people that believed women were warriors at heart instead of the homemakers and they were the ones trained for combat, and the men stayed at home. in the French revolution there were a wide scale use of women.

two of the most dramatic events of the Revolution involved women. First, in 1789, Parisian women of the lower classes convinced women of all classes to march to Versailles and seize the king and queen.

  • @Marynicole830 That isnt a military fool. Those where civilians that rose up in revolution. Two totally different things. NO MILITARY IE ARMY has ever used FEMALES successfully in a infantry role.

  • @shorttimer09 wow, 6 months for me...

  • @shorttimer09 lol

  • @shorttimer09

lol. It defintely is a accomplishment.

yeah i hated female officers. especially military doctors, those fat bitches.

    Best regards!

  • @shorttimer09 me hero

  • @shorttimer09 my hero

  • @shorttimer09- There used to be female cadets at the military school I went to. Some were officers. But now they're all gone. Can't say why. And for better or for worse, the male cadets don't have to salute female cadets anymore.

  • @shorttimer09 XD

That's the accomplishment you're most proud of?

    That is sad.

  • @shorttimer09

    ah fcuker

  • @shorttimer09 hey, hey man... fuck you

  • lol! This is so true. And I agree, I find more officers dodging the enlisted.

  • great vid. lol

  • I'm stationed on Miramar and I've noticed more officers trying to dodge enlisted than the other way around

  • I just left miramar :P

My brother in law works with AAV's there.

  • lol thats so funny cause its true, everyone tries to find a loop so they dont have to salute, dont know why really, although I had a officer come toward me and all his hands were full, I could tell he was nervous, I put up my salute and he did not no what to do, but he put his stuff on the grouns lol.

  • lol

  • haha, kinda funny that alot of these jr officers think that as soon as they graduate they'll actually be in charge...even without the exp, save a few. if it wasnt for the sr. ncos and sncos those butter bars wouldnt make it to 1st Lt.

  • haha. I'm about to be commissioned as a 2nd Lt. tomorrow and I found this hilarious

  • boot ass

  • ...Luke..... u should have joined the dark side...

  • I got out of the Corp in '64. Things haven't changed.

  • haha that makes me proud. RAH

  • Did you ever notice that the officer salutes back? It is a sign of respect when the officer returns the salute.

  • most officers will salute back, even to recruits, as long as they execute it properly and there aren't 3000 recruits saluting him individually.

  • Its more fun and try to avoid the salute. lol.

    Cpl. H.

  • So true! Awesome!!!!

  • Well you can always pretend you're adjusting your cover or you have something in your eye. Also running with your head down usually works too.

I didn't always mind saluting, but when its a butter bar officer (not a mustang), especially in the Marines, You dont want to give the college boy the satisfaction.

  • Look at that fat bitch over! (Everyone looks left and misses the officer walking by)

  • this is tight! That is what the real Marine Corps is about :) ...

  • love it :]

  • I was the same way...avoided those people like the plague. Ran into an old Col. one time. He snatched my cover off my head and said, "What's your name...or is this even yours?" I never met an officer I liked much less respected. I'm FREE now...and don't miss one day of that life.

  • or u pretend to look at the time.....

  • ha ha...thats great!

  • i got a kick how the newbies out of ocs would whip out a salute b4 the enlisted did.

  • lol. love it. i am not a stranger to this

  • pretty damn funny, haha! those were the days. I miss the Corps...

  • its just for fun DUMBASS!!!! You so serious man...

  • What's realy fun is when you see one carreing something and salute him . For a split second he'll try to return it and almost loose his hold on it !!!

  • That's why you're supposed to carry things in your left hand :)

If the officer's hands are full, they're just supposed to say "Carry on, *rank*"

  • Ya I know but it's still fun to mess with butter bars couse they don't know the games yet !

  • hahaha that's hilarious because that's exactly how it is.

  • Car in the background at 0:33 is beautiful.

Good movie too. To the point.

  • JO's take a lot of shit, but 4 out of 5 of them will kick the average enlisted Marines ass in PT. Every mustang I knew said OCS PT was way harder than Boot Camp's.... respect that!

  • From several books I have read by those who have been through OCS, a comment from a Drill Instructor who worked at OCS, and from videos on Youtube you are correct.

  • The rule is six feet away, ten feet on the outside of that if you're on a head on collision and you have no choice because they're between you and the door to the mess hall. Otherwise, v-line at an angle before you're within that range. Who said I wasn't headed into that field across the brier patch?

  • what no ducking in the head?

  • I know it appears to be a pain to salute officers, but look at it from their side. If I was an officer, I know my right arm would be sore due to all the saluting.

  • WHAHAHAHAHAHA, good stuff. Semper FI

  • thats some funny shit!

  • Funny stuff!

  • Fucking outstanding. The strange things a feaking devil dog will do to get out of saluting an officer is laughable.

  • lawl

  • lmao......this video is hillarious! is it that hard to salute? i know a army sergeant first class who dosent call officers sir and instead calls them by their rank to include generals and colonels. i think its stupid to avoid calling people sir or saluting them. its tradition and the people that earned that butter bar deserve the respect. (no i was never a sir, usmc sgt)- just do it or don't join.

  • bruceleeroy76-not everyone earned the butter bar. You're either a poser who was never in any military, or you were one big ass kisser. You know no one likes to have to salute butter bars, or any other junior POG, medical, ROTC, westy asshole who just got pinned and didn't truly sweat for it. I go out of my way not to salute these junior fuckers unless they're prior enlisted or deployed. Unless of course, I see them carrying something on their right hand, and then, just to fuck with them.

  • i want to join the corps and everyone is telling me to go to college so i can go in as an officer and what not but they dont understand that i want to EARN my rank and not just have it PINNED on me for going to school.

  • Nothing wrong with getting a college education. In fact, I would encourage it. Many of us enlisted have college degrees and master's degrees, but choose to stay enlisted. You can get a degree, enlist as an E-4, then go officer or stay enlisted; or you can enlist and have the Army help you get your degree, later become an officer. What I was trying to say, is that deep down in places we don't talk about at parties, newly minted 0-1s have less clout with the old enlisted, even if we must salute.

  • sweet, thanks that sounds like a plan

  • just goes to show you know nothing about officer training....with that attitude, you'd wash out of OCS the first week the Sgt Inst got hold of you

  • you're right i do not know anything about OCS and maybe thats because i have never read about it because im not interested in it. and from what i've seen you write on other peoples comments your the guy that went to school, became an officer, and now you expect everyone to salute you and since many people hate you for that you start jumping down peoples throats on youtube. sound about right?

  • @SSGPops

you're an idiot. if you have any common sense, it takes less time out of your day to salute and carry on then to avoid an on coming officer by ducking behind bushes or tieing your boot laces. no officer is given rank to put on their shoulders if they didn't earn it genius. we don't really have a say on who earned shit. we just follow orders or go to college and get a degree and make others follow orders.

  • If your in a group and you get the spacing right you can make them keep saluting. Take pride in being a shit bird not a shit bag.

  • LMAO

  • lol...for colors we ran to my buddis car

  • I was driving on base with my sgt. and he parked the car and made me get out and salute when colors went.

  • fucking boot ass LT's. I just wear my boonie all day and claim to be in the field.

  • haha..my CO loved this

  • haha got to love The Corps, Oorah!

  • That LT still had breast milk on his mouth!!

  • obstacle in officer country, huh?

  • outstanding

  • Man this is so funny but it's true.

  • I loved the video it was so funny.

  • lol

  • HAHAHA! Don't be dramatic, just salute!

If only some marines/soldiers/airman/sailors felt the same way. hahaha!

  • OMG!! THAT WAS FREAKING AWESOME!! YESSSSSS It's funny because it's true. Why can't AFN play that commercial? Why's it always gotta be about styrofoam cups and don't shake your baby!!

  • dud I cannot express how true your statement, I laughed so loud my CO came in LOL!!!!

  • He's only a 1LT? He looks more like a MAJ. Well, he must of took his ORC then.

  • lol Great video Devil Dog, awsome camera work
