But yeah, the acrobatic car team episodes were among a favorite for many of us apparently. The leader with the skull face was a cool villan. Just really enjoyed this show and have rewatched them all on HULU over a couple months, late at night with a good Crown Royal Reserve (on the rocks) and a little smoke and I escape to my childhood if even for a short while. A time when I knew no job stress, financial stress, marital stress, childraising stress. guess you all know what I mean.

In case you people are wondering this episode, ie, The Most Dangerous Race is broken down into 3 parts. This is part 1 of 3. I don't see how Speed Racer went over the missing track at 6:58. The acrobatic racing team are nothing but a pack of wolves. Uh, Mr. Announcer, people are still sleeping at four thirty in the morning!

Capt. Terror. is the leader of the group called themselves The Car Acrobatic Team. and the 7 racers he chose for the Alpine race are.. Tiger, Knuckles, Brawn, Poison, Ugly, Ender & Snake Oiler. They're most daring and desparate drivers of the team. In this epic 3 part episode of Speed Racer. To me it's one of my all-time favorites.

I remember this show very well. It was shown widely on independent TV stations in the early 1970s, and it was wildly popular with kids. Some teens even watched it for the artwork, which was great, even if the animation was crude. Watching it again, I spot Japanese touches, I hadn't noticed, like settings of bombed out factories, a relic of WWII. I am very glad to see it again.

My father introduced me to this series, he spoke of the show and how he remembers watching it when he was young. Now I enjoy watching. By the far the best episode; The Car Acrobatic Team. I hope others will see the same magic as many did when they were young and pass it along

This is my favorite episode! I LOVE the Car Acrobatic Team! I've been a Speed Racer fan for 40yrs.(i got the Johnny Lighting cars of the Mach 5,Snake Oilers car,the leader of the C.A.T,the G.R.Xand Racer-X car) Like Darkcyde said "Go Speed,Go!"

I keep watching these in order...brings back memories that haven't been in my mind since I was 4-5 years old in 1967. The Speed Racer Show was considered very cool. I had a metal "lunch box" with Speed Racer also. I had another one of "The Rat Patrol" which was a very cool show for a young fella back then.

@lunupe83 Hell Yeah, I'd be hauling ass home, no goofing off until after Speed Racer and another favorite of mine that followed....ULTRA MAN. Then it was outside until the "streetlights" came on, that meant time to get home for dinner. LIFE WAS BETTER BEFORE IN HOME VIDEO GAME CONSOLES. Us kids had our shows to watch, but we PLAYED IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS and saw sunlight on a daily basis.
