The guy in talking in the intro must have been army. There are no "soldiers" in the Navy. "Hoorah" is more of a Marine thing though many sailors use it. "Hooyah" would be more Navy. Sounds like a great program all the same.
I lived in Houston for 9 years, and one day I drove out to see that ship and it's a beauty. You can sense the history as you walk around her. Thank God it's still around for future generations to see.
One old guy asked if he could go down into the engine room. He went to the exact spot where he had hidden a bottle of scotch 50 years earlier. The bottle was still there. He spilled a bit of the scotch on the deck, in memory of his friends who served on the ship with him.
