As a former student of Pace High School [who was there while all this was going on], I would like to point out to people that there actually WERE students at that luncheon. The students weren't having the luncheon with them. They were the cooking students that prepared the meal. I don't think I've seen anything in the media from this case point that out.

Speaking as an atheist, I was not not 'taught' anything. My parents are Christian, (my mother very so). It was something I came into on my own. I don't consider myself better then everyone else. I'm a big supporter of civil rights, believe in peace over war, and give everyone a fair shake until they, and that person alone, proves other wise....
As it pertains to the school, I have nothing against people praying. What people do in their own time is none of my business or anyone else's. If teachers and students want to pray at lunch, that's great. The only part I drawn the line is when they FORCE people to do, wiether they want to or not. And that's for ANY religion or practice, not just Christian. If it's just a couple of people not bothering anyone, then I would be the first to defend them.

Without anger, there is no passion. But without reason, passion is blind. I wasn't offended. I wanted to point out just that, we're all different. Mearly belonging to same group does not make us all think the same way. We are of two different groups, yet we can agree. That's important. In many ways, you're arguement made sense, and were far more tolerant then most. In my view, you're one of the great kinda Christians, with acutal reason behind your thoughts. As a former student of Pace High School [who was there while all this was going on], I would like to point out to people that there actually WERE students at that luncheon. The students weren't having the luncheon with them. They were the cooking students that prepared the meal. I don't think I've seen anything in the media from this case point that out.

It depends upon what you call lying. Fox News slants hat they say and implies things without ever making blatantly wrong statements outright. They slant things and let the viewer reached the conclusion they want the viewer to reach. They also leave out critical information. Is this lying? Maybe not, but it's certainly manipulation. Why would anyone watch a so-called news outlet that attempts to manipulate them?

This is nothing but mild propaganda for anti fox news people who rather find reasons to hate than watch and judge for themselves. Fox and Friends does a lot of these nice and short segments, albeit sometimes paraphrased in favor of the right agenda. Most of foxes big ticket shows (hannity,o'reilly, etc) do a much better job of showing all sides where as channels like msnbc do nothing but one sided reporting and analysis. If fox was as bad as the haters make it seem, they wouldn't dominate.

If you're unsure who Ailes is, he used to be the man in charge of using the media to propegate support for certain GOP candidates like Reagen and Bush Sr., and a couple others. He's very good at what he does, and he knows what his viewers want to hear, and how to give it to them while keeping them just misinformed enough to gain their allegiance.

Any schools that force religious beliefs upon children is wrong. The fact that Fox, which has repeatedly shown itself as ignorant bigots when talking about the atheist community, don't realize that as Americans we have a constitutional right to not only be religious, but to be protected from religion.
According to our own laws, it is illegal for the government to support any religion. And yet religious people continue to force religion down all our throats.
They are a cancer to America.

Speaking as an atheist, I was not not 'taught' anything. My parents are Christian, (my mother very so). It was something I came into on my own. I don't consider myself better then everyone else. I consider myself better then the person I was several years ago. I'm a big supporter of civil rights, believe in peace over war, and give everyone a fair shake until they, and that person alone, proves other wise....

As it pertains to the school, I have nothing against people praying. What people do in their own time is none of my business or anyone else's. If teachers and students want to pray at lunch, that's great. The only part I drawn the line is when they FORCE people to do, wiether they want to or not. And that's for ANY religion or practice, not just Christian. If it's just a couple of people not bothering anyone, then I would be the first to defend them.

Without anger, there is no passion. But without reason, passion is blind. I wasn't offended. I wanted to point out just that, we're all different. Mearly belonging to same group does not make us all think the same way. We are of two different groups, yet we can agree. That's important. In many ways, you're arguement made sense, and were far more tolerant then most. In my view, you're one of the great kinda Christians, with acutal reason behind your thoughts. I think more need to be that way.

If so, then why should the Governing bodies of the school elicit control? Personal Freedom is personal freedom regardless of how the pie is sliced.

I would almost swear (I don't swear because I heartily believe that it is a "sin") that Jesus (the representation and voice of God in the Bible) remarked that Christians should pray quietly for God's guidance and praise him personally--though not with fear.
Am I remembering this wrong?

You know it's an awesome "news" channel when it's the viewer's job to research and discover for themselves what really happened in the stories reported/discussed, because that "news" channel consistently bungles its facts and horribly misrepresents the relevant contexts (always, of course, in accord with their well know bias). One reasonably wonders if it even counts as a "news" channel at all.

The seperation of church and state is a fallacy, it was to ensure that the government did not interfere with religion, which is what the seperation of church and state people are doing.
We are supposed to have freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.

only 9 of the founding fathers that signed the Declaration of Independents were Freemasons that's 16% only 13 signed the Constitution (33%) and only 33 signed the Generals of the Continental Army, under George Washington, document.
