This is incredible I don't know why anyone else is as blown away by this. I'm building somethings myself right now and anything of this scale and craftsmanship is seriously a marvel.
thats pretty cool. how did you paint that? did you use an airbrush? if so, how thin was the paint? is that faux fur? Did you start out with white or darker fur? thank you if you have any feedback =). I like your work.
yep, that's fabric fur. The colour of the fur is a sandy colour. The chin and ear insides are a whiteish colour fur and the tail tip is a dark brown colour fur. I painted the white parts with a brush. I sprayed some reddish brown colour on with an air brush and spread it out with my hands. I painted the stripes with an air brush. The paint was very watered down. the paint i used for the parts i did with a brush was very runny too.
the whole thing could have been done with a brush and sponges instead of an airbrush. the trick is to constantly brush it with a fine tooth comb as it dries so the paint doesn't glue the hair together.
